Why do the Muslims stayed in India after 1947. They wanted Pakistan and the British gave it to them. They should not stay in India.

What kind of nonsensical webinar is this? The first three speakers use government data to diss Hindu Nationalists. Jayati Ghosh comes in and says that all government data is fudged and should not be believed. 😂😂😂

Hindu Nationalists can create pride for the majority of the people of India. Incentive creation is the aim of any successful economic policy. Compare with the RSS, both the pro-Western economists and CPIM economists are nothing but only talk and talk; otherwise they are both empty.

There are glaring mistakes and misrepresenting numbers to set the stage eg. Welfare programs allocation as % of GDP is misleading instead it should have been compared with UPA as absolute numbers. This shows how easy it is to fool and mislead. It is mostly BS and Propaganda.

Professor prabhat does not mention housing as one of his 5 economic rights. Or did I miss it? I think shelter is crucial and part of largest expense for working classes. Always love listening to this wise man..

All forms of capitalism--- 1) Each private capitalist co. internally is run as dictatorship or oligarchy, NOT by majority of workers. 2) Capitalists often corrupt public elections, via bribery/lobbying of elected 3) In sum, a small group of capitalists, basically self appointed, run capitalism, both inside co.s + outside co.'s in larger natl. + intl. parts of economy. This is NOT majority rule of democracy.

If there is a ‘poly crisis’ then it’s not a coincidence. We need both experts and activists to help investigate them.

That poly crisis is deeeeeply rooted into the only monocricis problem that is Economy... It just doesn't prevail in the first place, you have to dive down soo deep to get the root😊

Well, it's late capitalism now. However any other form, say socialism, communism, federalism, fascism all bound in poly-crisis. Heading towards Fail. Overall gutting of a civilization hooked on energy generating mountains of trash everyday. Folks like Prabhat Patnaik, as academic as far removed from reality and incoming Science. He remains blissfully clueless about Biophysical limits, about Overshoot (India his own motherland) and incoming Collapse. These people are but useless for the future.

Very urgent and important lecture by Prof Pravhat Patnayak. Explanation on Nationalism, in particular the difference of the concept of such between Developed and the Colonial states was worth to note. The importance as to why delinking from ongoing Neo liberalism should be imperative for the Developing countries for their own sustainability, could be discerned amply through the lecture. Thanks.
