Sermon - Two Ways to Meet with God - September 22, 2024 - Amos 4
Thank you so much. I have really enjoyed the advent devotions.
“If not run through LOVE, your not a crockpot your a crackpot, a joke.” That is so true. Crockpots are the best! I have like 4 now. Great when entertaining a big family!
“All you need is nothing.” I ❤ that! Nothing I got! 😊
Poor Joy with that visual, lol.
haha!
And yet the evangelicals have become the wolves with their worship of their orange messiah and ramping up the fear and hate while forcing their beliefs on others. Not Gods word in the least.
The corners of the garments of all men had blue and white tassels, " that you might look upon it and remember all the commandments of the LORD and do them". Looking upon the sisit would remind them of the law and prevent them from falling into harlotry.h The border of a robe often had the ancestral lineage hdisplhaying authority and power.
I needed this message today. WE are covered by the power of His word,
@@marionchase-kleeves8311 amen!
Thank you for sharing this with me Darlene. Jesus’ peace is a wonderful gift we can receive and give. ❤
The Peace of Christ is what I hold dear
Very good
Great message. Speaking Truth 💯
This is worship? Reading and discussing?
yes - Acts 2:42
What we think and believe within is what, who we are. It may well come out. Even if it doesn't, it is within. Temptation is different. It isn't something that we have yet received unto ourselves.
LORD, yes, please shine your light brightly into our hearts, that we may see that which we need to repent of. Please help us to have the conviction and courage to do so. In Jesus's Holy and Wonderful Name, Amen.
Jesus went first to Capernium, a place of mainly gentiles, to foreshadow the fact that it would be a largely gentile church that would become saved before the Jews. The gentiles would become the people God would focus on before the Jews finally come to Jesus as their Messiah. The Jews, as a people, would reject Him for two thousand years before, as a group, they will come to Him at the end of the final seven years of tribulation. The gentiles would come to Him in droves before the Jews finally do. Northen Israel had become a place of Samaritans, who were considered as gentiles. I think that northern Israel symbolizes the gentile. The time of Jesus's ministry, I think, is understood more fully when one sees that Jesus was already received and more comfortable in the places considered more gentile than in Judah, where He was under more constant rejection and threat. Jesus spent much time in northern Israel. After being persecuted and threatened in Judah, He often retreated to northern Israel for relative safety.
Getting a lot out of your sermons. Thank you, and praise Jesus!
thanks Kathleen! Glad God is using them in your life!
Yes, the great, great saga of God and man.
Amen!
A great sermon. Spoke directly to my heart

Very good devotion, as I did a couple of my devotions today I felt like I was saying to me, what am I doing with the gifts he’s given me and that I am neglecting!
Wonderful having the service again! Thank you so much for the body of Christ and the prayers that I have been receiving! I’m truly blessed. Great scenario about the firefighters versus the Christians
God never leaves us alone. He walks with me always. God bless you
Wonderful sermon Brother
Thanks man. Missed you today.
AMEN 💪
Good message! Happy thanksgiving
Great sermon
thanks man!
The beard is the real deal Dave! #TNH
Thanks for sharing the message. Missed being in church. Blessings on you all.
Love it! Much love from your brothers and sisters over here at Hampstead Baptist Church!
Thanks Cole! Much love to you all too!
Such a great analogy, thanks for sharing that perspective
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it Darlene!
Thank you Pastor that is so true, if we spent even half the energy of building each other up then we do in tearing each other down there would be a lot more happy marriages. I was very blessed for 49 years with a wonderful man and through Christ we became one. It is my prayer that each one of my children and my grandchildren and my great grandchildren find a partner who loves them as much as John loved me and as much as Christ loved the church! God bless thank you for a wonderful service
Great reminder
Thought provoking
Thanks, Peggy!
That’s a hard one especially when it could cost you your friendship. 🙏🙏
yeah, it can be a hard one for sure. This is where the Body of Christ should support its members. When we are upheld with the fellowship of Christians, rejection can be less of a blow. That said, helping tell the truth IN LOVE can be a way that friendships can remain in tact even when there is conflict.
Amen
Perfect prayer 🙏
So true- all need more time with God. Praying you feel better
Thank you for your prayers, Peggy! Yes! We could all do well by intentionally carving out that time!
Thank you for your daily encouragement, this really spoke to me.
Thanks Darlene! Glad God is speaking to you!
Thanks- this is something I need to work on!
Glad it was helpful!
It's nice to end this week on such a comforting note. Thank you, Dave.
You're very welcome!
Amen
I had never heard this- thank you so much. This makes so much sense!
Thanks Peggy, yeah understanding the context makes the passage come alive!
👍Amen
Needed this this morning
so did I ;)
Wonderful thoughts
Thanks, Peggy!
