📚 ABSTRACT:
Superconducting qubit-based systems are leading the charge in the quest for large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computations. The grand challenge, at the processor level, is to implement quantum operations with error rates that are as low as possible, which requires high coherence, control, and readout fidelities. Crucially these metrics have to be maintained as we progressively scale this technology to fit larger processors. The enabling microwave components surrounding the processor are critical as well, and classical microwave technology offers plenty of inspiration to draw from. In this talk, I will highlight my recent contributions to this field: ranging from the investigation of milliKelvin-temperature technology based on microwave magnons to the engineering of small-scale flip-chip integrated superconducting quantum processors.
