This just showed up in my recommended, I’m glad I stumbled in! My dad has collected kendamas since the 80s, he and my brother are both pretty good but I just never got the hang of it. Cool video!

I ALWAYS tell newer players when working on multiple flips from stalls/balances to go for one more like huck trips if you’re trying to learn dubs, just like u were saying. Very useful tip!

Take a break and go all in switch for a while. I got injured in my right shoulder two years ago still not good couldn't stop Play in time for it to get real bad. Go to the gym ❤ and congrads on the stilt achievement!

I'm syked I can do single stilt flips. Just one of these triples would be a banger for me.

Hmm being more of a beginner not sure what might be a good trick to go for this. Maybe bird flip over Valley? And count flipping back instead of fully resetting when landed? Lunar doubles or single inward lunar flips might help get them more honed. Any trick suggestions for someone in this roughly intermediate camp are welcome!

Good review. Just my humble opinion, 2 big cups is a little too much, also 90 degree rims makes no grip for birds and stilts. Playability over look. Still, nice kendama

a stringless trick will probably never win trick of the year. The string is a MAJOR component of the kendama and removing it alleviates such a huge handicap for alot of difficult tricks. It's cool and all but mostly novelty

I think Ryoga going first gave Takuya some nerves. i know it’s hard for him to get nerves but compared to Ryoga, it seemed a lot harder for him to recoup on misses this year. i also think it was unfortunate that he showboated a little for the crowd. we can play hypotheticals all day but i DO think he wouldve had at least one or two more tries for full marks if it wasnt for that. still an insane run. Ryoga is just too composed 😤
