You didn’t listen to the early reviewers very well then. OA5 is BETTER than other action cameras in low light but not its intended use. How many sports are done in low light…???

Hi! I hope you can see this comment. I bought the same camera. I would like to know how do you use it? I haven’t been able to take no photos or videos yet. I’m not sure if the so card I am using is too big in storage for this camera or even if I am taking the photos the correct way,,. I haven’t found a tutorial

I believe some people will feel uncomfortable and not privacy when they saw a glasses we wore got a tiny camera

The biggest selling point to me is the open source capabilities. Also, in terms of smart glasses i have no objection to them being seen by others as i think it promotes openness. I’d much rather that than to have someone realise i was wearing invisible to the naked eye and have them become automatically suspicious with my intentions if discovered. Lastly, it’s first generation so expect glitches.

Imagine using an action camera to film walks inside buildings in low light confitions and then blame it for not performing.

I made myself clear that everything made in China is just crap and I never buy their products. It's been a very easy choice🤣

Fair review. I agree bro.... i brought this to record my vacation memories videos and now i am using this as my dash cam. Now switch back to iphone.

You are so focused on speaking negative about this camera that you don't realise you are making mistakes in your video like calling the action 5 as pocket 5 and then suggesting us to get the action 3 as typed by you when you are saying pocket 3. The camera footage may be unusable for you, but your videos are unwatchable too, sorry that i watched one.

I hate videos that say don’t buy this or don’t buy that because you aren’t happy with the product as if you know know what my camera needs are.. I’m basing my comment solely on the title without watching a frame of this video.

I have watched many review videos of many action cameras and osmo 5 is pretty much the best on the market. Nowadays you can’t just buy a camera and point and shoot - they are too sophisticated, u need to learn to play with different settings

if you have a real job and can’t pull your phone out 24/7 get them

Help! This used to be my favorite feature and with the iPhone 16 pro it doesn’t work.

Fantastic review. Kind of amazing that I watched like 10 other “reviews” for these things and I learned way more from yours than others. All but one were sponsored 🤔 I appreciate your blunt honesty. I was very interested in these until you said there’s not a whole lot they can do, which was my fear. Great looking, cool tech, not much usability. Darn. Edit: I’m surprised how many people are defending these by saying how great they COULD be. You reviewed what you had. It is what it is.

Definitely is fake video as I have iPhone 15 pro max my camera settings are maximum and it won’t get even close to this. The zoom it’s ok but on the maximum zoom not great quality

Pocket 3 for low light (but a very fragile camera) Dji 5 pro or ace pro 2 all are same in day light. Here is the thing Put your action 5 on a gimbal , turn off camera stabilization, manual mode 1/30 shutter, auto iso max 1600 and you will have an excellent low light footage

I'm goes to 0.5x to 30x, sometimes I just see a colour

I plan to buy that thing and use it for extreme sport videos and I'm pretty sure it's gonna perform well. There's nothing extreme about walking and talking in the city. For that I rather use mirrores M4/3 camera or even "normal" camcoder.

Appreciate you. I kinda knew this tech wasn't ready yet kinda like an electric vehicle and batteries we just aren't there yet. The next 50 years should be interesting, tho if we can make some big leaps in tech.

Just for the translation functionality this seems like a game changer?! Won't you demo that? You can talk to someone without breaking eye contact....? ... it should teach you the other language too though 😀

All things considered, I still think these are a big step in the right direction for smart glasses. Most of the hardware I'd want is there, the battery life for a device of that size is incredibly impressive, and they support open source programs which is both unique and refreshing in the modern technology space. That being said, some hardware that I think could significantly improve the functionality are speakers and potentially a camera. Speakers are kind of obvious as they would allow you to make hands free phone calls/listen to music, and a camera would be convenient in general, though I could understand not including it for the sake of battery life. I also feel that the lack of a trigger phrase is beneficial, as it would suck up a limited battery life, but the buttons for the quick notes and the AI assistant feature need to be toggleable. Ultimately my impression that I think almost all of the issues are in software, which hopefully gets updated soon (however I wouldn't count on it), but that the lack of speakers really puts a dent in the capabilities of this otherwise very impressive hardware.

A very strange person. I bought a camera for other purposes, and now I'm trying to tell you why it is not shooting correctly. Your choice is originally pocket 3. In general, real fans have both action 5 pro and pocket 3.
