Here's a brand new channel, brought to you by ua-cam.com/users/Sprocketsgarage
This channel will cover the Remote Control side of our interests, mainly 10th scale crawlers and drag racing. We're going to be covering a lot of budget-minded and DIY stuff, because we're not made of money, and a lot of you aren't- but you can still have fun without breaking the bank!
Stay tuned as Greg and myself (Chris) turn some wrenches, have a few laughs, and yes- break stuff.

Turning Wrenches- Attaching Body Panels To A Cage
Переглядів 132Рік тому
Introducing CHAINSAW, my first of many Mad Max style builds. And... How to attach body panels to a cage chassis- cheap and easy. In this video, I make panel mounting clips out of aluminum flashing material, and attach my home made aluminum body panels to an aftermarket steel Bomber cage. That's awesome 😎
That is a good idea. I don’t need to do that for my setup, but I’ll have to remember that.
Is that doc sprocket
That’s some sexy stuff right there my friend. Keep it up.
That steering looks better than the crap idea rc4wd had on the tf3
Agreed! Lol
Great idea! Will use it in my project, thnx a lot!
I think it look great! By the way! Rc4wd came out with the new sr5 Toyota wheels! Those I think might fit the looks of your original truck! They come in 1.7s chrome and white. They came stock on my new tf2 4Runner just released by rc4wd.
Man that’s a neat trick! And a cool looking rig May I ad! Well done!👌😎👍
- So detailes & realistic, especially for a 3D-print !!! 👌💯
- Say, "what LCG Chassis" is this you have here... a Toyzuki... or something else...!!??? -Thx !! 👍
i have a toyzuki, that’s definitely not a toyzuki but looks good still.
Sick 🤘🏻
This is awesome! I’ve been wanting to do a 79 bronco lowrider on my channel
Awesome little video, Thanks for the support it means a lot!
So great video. Full watched. Wish you all the best.🩵🩵
I need to know more about drag RCs.
Do they come with instructions?
Mine did not, and I guess it depends on where they're sourced. In one of the FB groups, someone posted a couple pics of an instruction sheet but frankly, they weren't very helpful. Look at the parts for a bit, and it'll all make sense, really. Looking at some completed still images would help, too.
@@IN10THRC Im waiting on some for my RC4WD TF2 Midnight Edition.
@Oscar Baez Soria Sweet! I went back on Amazon and ordered 5 more, for various projects.
Nice!!!
Hi guys 1/10 right?
Yes.
@@IN10THRC nice rc cars
@@rlstang7276 Thank you!
Muito perfeito 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 parabéns 😍
Yo sir
Hi
Nice to see one of my old 22r engine covers still kicking around. I have redesigned them for more room and added detail.
YES! I had mentioned that I had one of your engines, recently in conversation. To help jog your memory, my name is Chris, I'm in Ontario, and just ordered one of your SBC's to play the part of a 283 in my 64 Chevy pickup build. Thanks for watching!
Greg would do that. Break stuff and break friends
He's exceptional at breaking stuff!
Nice that’s awesome guys 👍🏽
Lol kind of addictive to watch..still watching 🤣
I have a fullsize hit and miss- good for about 300lbs, on a cart. More than once last year, I fired it up in the backyard, pulled up a chair, and just sat there watching the thing for an hour or so.
I tried to build a set of these my fat fingers I broke the last one lol!
Definitely a delicate operation!
Wow very nice work!!! Love custom fabbed stuff hit the sub
Neat reminds me my aunt was into the mini house with every thing in the house .. they were scale size mini homes
There's not much of a difference between model builders, diorama builders, model train folks, and dollhouse people.
A great Video!!! Naice Crawl Footage and spot! loe the RC's Trucks!
Cool Build!!! Very Naice RC Truck Congrats! Loved and Subscrived!
Thank you!
@@IN10THRC 🐼👍🏻
good to see you on you tube again ..are you still doing lawn mowers ?? . I do have a RC car but its not a show car it was for track racing .. did carpet and blacktop tracks have to dig it back out .. moved 2 years ago still have not got everything unpacked .. truck is looking great
Howdy! I took a bit of a break from the tractor stuff. Honestly, Lawn Gone's death kinda took it out of me, and I had I had to focus on other things for awhile. I spent the time working on my car. Thanks for following me over here!
Great work doc
Thanks!
Excellent work sir
Thank you!
Can the phone mount be removed? I wouldn't want it on for racing, cool looking radio.tho!
It certainly can. The included extras also includes a replacement top cap without the mounting setup.
No spool in the rear diff you need the diff go with the drag race concepts complete sealed diff add some 500k diff fluid
Run the gtr big bore shocks off the nitro revo they are amazing and what times are you guys looking at?

All my bodies are proline and my painter never has issues with them… Not sure what could be causing that for ya. They look good!
😁😁😆 3D printer wheels,U are the best! 😁😄😁👍🏾
Sometimes, I just can't help myself. I repurpose all kinds of stuff in places one might not expect to see them. This one happened because in addition to being resourceful, I'm also pretty damned cheap sometimes. I was looking on Ebay for wheelie bar wheels (My bar did not come with them) and was REALLY getting annoyed that it was beginning to look like I'd have to spend 50-60 bucks for a decent pair. Sitting at my computer just off to the side, are my 3D printers. You could actually HEAR the lightbulb in my head fire up... LOL Thanks for watching!
Nice choice on the Rocket motor. I have a 4.0t and it screams.
I'm hoping for the best. Trying to find a balance between budget and performance. I don't want to throw my WHOLE wallet at the thing because I'm not a rich guy and have other responsibilities, like so many other people- just doing what I can. Thanks for watching!
Gorgeous work by Tim! He will be live tonight on Staging Lanes, sorry for plugging my channel.
All good, plug away!
Those are some very nice bodies, but you were mentioning how proline had problem with paint adhesion on their bodies. I use proline for almost everything I build and I've not had that problem. I'm not saying it doesn't exist but I have not experienced it. That being said, I have noticed that j concepts bodies do indeed have that problem and more, such as paint adhesion even with proper preparation, and sometimes after trimming the side panels of the body will warp inward rendering the body useless. Oh and doc, just wait till you see what I built that I might have to do a video on sooner or later....
I don't know, I really don't. The hobby shop guys (who do great paint work) told me this, and refused to do Greg's body for fear of wrecking it. Flash forward to roght now- and his Proline body indeed has paint defects, while my Bittydesign body does not. Same paints, same batches, same time frame, same artist. Beats me. And... I will be watching!
Soooo nice guys!!!
Damn!!!!
I was thinking. You said you want to put all your models on this controller(I am doing that also). But I was thinking you should back up the rest and only run 2 channel for your drag series. These 2 will have a faster response as it says in the manual. Then on non race days reload all your others from the PC. Doin this might get you an edge on the track or not. Just my thoughts.
As I understand it so far (could be entirely wrong...): For EACH model stored in the model memory slots, you assign number of channels. For my two drag cars, I have already set them to TWO. I have one of my crawlers set up as well, set to 8 channels (as I used the 8 channel rx for that one). Since, unlike the GT3 series, each model assignment is SPECIFIC to the bound reciever for that channel, one model setting should not affect another. On my GT3C, if I powered up more than one car at a time, operating the transmitter WOULD affect all cars that were powered up at the moment. This does not (I have tested it). Model 1 only operates when Model 1 is selected on the transmitter, and so on, regardless of whether multiple cars are on at the same time. This is actually a BIG bonus because there have been times in the past that I have powered my stuff up, having forgotten that I am set to the wrong car- this has cause problems like a winch running away and snapping it's own cable, for example. If I find out more on this, I'll be sure to let you know. Thanks for watching!
You are correct on how the radio frequency works. I went through the manual again and I have did a miss interpretation of what the channel fast(2) ment. Thought it advanced the servo Hertz and radio signal power automatically when set to just 2 channel.
@@The916porsche Great! Thanks for sharing. The exchange of information is what makes forums (and UA-cam) great!
Awesome radio. Very nice . i have a nb4 I use on alot of my rcs .
I just got the nb4, do you enjoy it? I think I am going to like it. I have big hands though, wear a size 15 ring so even the big grip is kinda small, going to get some tennis club wrap and do a once around. Any suggestions?
@@mattster197 Yes i love mine . great radio for the money.
