Kurt Bunker's story proves my point. Emmet and Kurt both developed beef with Neo-Nazi's, but Kurt chose to leave so that he could prepare his mentality to deal with them objectively whereas Emmet chose to stay knowing the risk it put his wife and child in. Kurt killed his own brother to do the objective thing as cop. What Emmet did here was not objective, it was just pure impulse. I understand the impulse but it was still impulse nonetheless.
