Keep up the good work. Waiting for your next video.
That means a lot. Appreciate it so much 💜
Great video man, loved it, thanks
Thanks for the support 🫡
I've been in love with EDM for the last 15 years. Been to Tomorrowland, Ultra and Creamfields multiple times and really did try to get to like or "understand" techno for a while because those were the only acts that actually came all the way down here to Uruguay, but it wasn't until I attended my first Afterlife event last year that I actually started to enjoy the whole (not only melodic) techno scene. It's been quite a refreshing journey since then, discovering tons of awesome music that I was just not aware of, not to mention that I'm now able to witness the rise of so many talented artists that are taking over the scene, even here in my country, and I'm grateful for that. I do like to film a few clips to keep as memories, but it does kill the vibe quite a lot if everyone is doing the same at every given time.
So cool! Thanks for sharing your story. Love how passionate you are about it!
great video!
Appreciate you! 🙏
Been to Tale of Us TML W1 this year. Just blew my mind, love these guys 🎉🎉
They’re pretty cool!
☁️💜🤍💜🤍☁️
Excellent channel Please make videos about trance
Oooh great suggestion!
these ai visuals are so boring
The ai docu videos are weir;
Excellent video, thank you.
Thank you too 💜
These AI video though, use this section to point out the funny IA screenshots, i'll start with the "Glasses but only the branches Matteo" at 2:25
"Neck Headphones Karm" 4:01
It was the best illustration out of many. Was hoping nobody would notice 😂
Very nice work man. I'm subscribing
Appreciate you and your support 🫡
They peaked at North Star
Nothing is unusual about their rise.
Hey, great job on this short documentary. ❤
Thanks a bunch 💜
The AI is awful
Disco gnome changed my life. I was listening to only Eric Prydz and Deadmau5 at the time and to me, electronic music was all about the big explosive drop. Then I heard Disco Gnome at 6am at an after party and I'd never heard anything like it. Now I've been producing music for the last 12 years that all stemmed from hearing that tune.
Whoa so they’re your muses in a way. Love to hear that!!
@@daansee 💯 but in fairness, I resonate more with MRAKs style now rather than Aynma cos I think it’s more of a natural evolution of disco gnome
I can see that for sure
All the AI footage makes the video incredibly hard to watch, it looks incredibly awful
So great to see music and art take an exciting new direction together. What great competitors, they have raised the bar to a new level!
Nice video explained this is history
🙏💜
Jesus AI videos?
Sad that Mrak is an abuser
wow i enjoyed this video a lot! this storytimes/documentaries are amazing, please keep going with this!
Thank you! Super appreciate it 💜🙏
what bugs me the most is that everyone is on their phones. just enjoy the music and go with the vibe
Afterlife was much better before all of this visual shit.
Great video dude, you got something with this channel. Keep going. ❤
Thank you, that means a lot 💜💜
Afterlife as a label started with tremendous interest in melodic moody techno, their production was out of this world ! I have attended in to many afterlife events from 2017-2019 and it was peak time . After 2020 they were just producing garbage, easy listening catchy radio - commercial songs. They have lost their character as a label,as artists and nowadays is just another edm shit to be honest! 😢
They’ve definitely shifted musically for sure
What is bro yapping about? Tale of Us just switched to more commercial, easy to digest sound, from what they used to play/produce. In other words, they sold out
while i defo see where this is coming from, it is a somewhat lazy dissection of what they actually did
I miss act II :/
There was a time when afterlife was the best party. Now it's just an expensive posing show
Nice small documentary! I do have to say that i miss the old Afterlife where the music brings you into a journey, where you experience different kind of emotions throughout the set. Now to be honest it's all kind of the same structure and drops, feels a lot more generic unfortunately. I hope they will go back to the old Afterlife, but i don't think so, they will lose a lot of newer fans that are at these show for the visuals.
Valid point! And hey thanks for the support <3
Ayyyyy happy to be your 1000th subscriber! Greet video! 🔥
Hey you! I'm as stoked as you are!! If you can send me an e-mail (it's on my UA-cam profile info). Would love to get in touch :)
This is good, but I think you are missing out on a huge part of the anyma / ToU/ afterlife backstory, anyma and chris avantegarde essentially pioneering the modern melodic techno sound. Before the sign and running, their sound was waaay more progressive. Anyma and Chris avantegarde basically took the sounds of big room from the early 2010s and mixed it with melodic techno, making it more palatable for the EDM audience, allowing those big AV shows to capture a wider audience. This sound got so big that it basically redefined melodic techno, as well as the artists on afterlife, as well as left a mark on the techno and tech house scenes!
I went to recent afterlife in Miami and it was a complete disaster , the venue was empty with only like 4 table chair in total , 2 mins of screen effects then 30 min of a fully black screen, i just hope that it was an organization thing more than the festival at is
Bro how tf can you cite sources for these personal stories? This whole thing feels like fan fiction
Phones aren't the issue, been to afterlife twice in Hi Ibiza and it was so over capacity both times it was impossible to enter the main room, both times, everyone was miserable and no room to dance, that is why there is never any dancing, charge more and let in less people please
Thank you - this video is very informative and well researched. Living in vegas, a lot of people are not aware who Anyma is but ask me about the sphere shows as I work in nightlife in vegas. This is what I am now sending them
Sounds like you have a dream job! Really appreciate your support. Means a lot 🫡
Their music is amazing and a more deep house trance sound that I love especially Anyma and Chris Avantgarde. The visuals are an added bonus. I love when the shows are filmed and put on UA-cam so people may not feel like they need to film. No phones allowed is a great policy.
Visuals are definitely a game changer in the industry
Their music is boring. Carried by the visuals.
At Tomorrowland 2024 I saw Tale of Us at the MainStage and Anyma at Freedom. It was incredible 🔥
So jealous!
Anyma at Freedom was fantastic ❤
I get it if people are just looking at it as visual or expecting dance music then afterlife is not for that. I love edm and usually trance techno is not my type. To be honest I’ve been hooked and wanting to find out more about them after seeing their show online. I agree the last part of the interview clip, their visuals and music combined has messages and that touched me spiritually. Maybe too strong of a word but I get them. Thank you so much for this video, it found me at a right time!!!
Raving is a spiritual experience!!
Great Documentary daansee ... 👍
That means a lot. <3
Well done! We needed for a long time tis type of chanel to talk stories of electronic music science. Thank you! Keep going! 🎉
Thanks a bunch!! Happy to have you here
great vid, well done
Thank you tons - appreciate you.
I think the rise of afro house and keinemusik is much more unusual
How so?
Saw Tale of Us at Tomorrowland 2024… unbelievable experience
Ahhhh lucky!!!
Eric prydz started the visuals I believe
The true OG
