hi, i have a question.... are the Tyranids any good against the Space Marines in the Ultimate Starter Box??? All the Battle Reports i see are going in the favor of The SM . My son wants to play the SM and i might go with the nids. What are your thoughts on the Nids in 1oth edition??

How can this be a starter set if it does not have a Rule Book? I think the starter kit would be better if it had a 10 marine bolter squad. 5 marine assault squad with Rhino transport. 5 terminator marine squad. 50 Tyranids models. And a rule book. for $199.00. LOL :-P

I've re-checked some forum on the rules regarding Failed Re-Roll (the clearest one can be found here www.tga.community/forums/topic/22615-re-roll-hit-rolls-re-roll-failed-hit-rolls/) I've made mistake on the visual on dice result at 10:44 and 13:29, where the yellow re-roll block cover all the column on outcome 1 to 4 / 5 . The re-roll should only applied on failed rolls before taking into account any modifier; therefor when (-1) and (-2) modifier was applied, the yellow re-roll block should only cover column on outcome 1 to 3 instead.

Nice review! I bought this box recently, so I appreciate you going over the units included. I have read a suggestion that in order to get 5 Grimghast Reapers, you can convert one of the Glaivewraith Stalkers by flipping the weapon to match the Reapers and swapping out the equine head for a human skull if you have that box of skulls GW sells. This way you get 5 Grimghast Reapers, which is what you want more so than 5 Stalkers. Regarding the fragility of the Nighthaunt models: I think this is a strategy of Games Workshop for several years now to do everything they can to fight against recasting and 3D-printed copies. The more dynamic and fragile they pose their models, the harder they are to copy. You and I will have to be careful with our ghosts! :-)
