Introducing: Baby Wranglers and Ranch Hand Classes
Переглядів 1969 місяців тому
We are firm believers in the saying, "The time spent building a solid foundation will pay for itself 10-fold" especially when it comes to horsemanship. Our "Baby Wranglers" and "Ranch Hands" will learn exclusively on our highly-trained mini horses, giving these tiny riders the confidence they need to grow in their horsemanship skills. We include enrichment of all kinds in each lesson which make...
Mini Horse First Desensitizing

At times, it seemed like Strawberry was never going to stand still but we just need to remember to not give up! Know that it takes more energy for her to pull me around and act like they have ants in their pants, than to calm down and yield to that pressure. Watch as I demonstrate this with Strawberry, this horse is quite spirted!
Drawing Your Mini Horse In

This video is a continuation of Strawberry’s first round penning session and it is now time for her to come into the center with me. Easier said than done! Watch as I find a starting point with Strawberry, who right now, doesn’t want to come into the center, and see how I educate her that being in the center with me, is the best place to be.
Day 1: Working with our new Mini Horse
Переглядів 171Рік тому
Day 1: Working with Strawberry the mini horse I started Strawberry just as I do my other horses, in the round pen. For the most part, her training will be relatively the same as my sale/lesson horses but with some modifications. For her round penning session, the goal is still the same; I want her to be able to trot and canter, as well as changing directions towards me (not towards the fence). ...
Otoes Apache Star, aka Mushroom
Переглядів 276Рік тому
Mushroom is the kind of horse that you hope to get to ride in your lifetime. Her kind, sweet eyes really tell you everything you need to know. Mushroom has the athleticism and skill to do more "intermediate" or "advanced" skills but then she can switch rolls to "babysitter" when I put a kid on her. She is just that versatile of a horse. Mushroom is a five year old, AQHA Bay Roan Mare standing 1...

American Horse Company Signature Trail Horse: Penny
Переглядів 296Рік тому
There this is belief that in order to have a good, athletic, or even talented horse it must come from their pedigree. Penny turns this myth upside down. Penny is smart, athletic, good-minded, and she's grade (not registered AQHA). When you are looking to buy a horse, focus more on what is in between the ears and not what is on a piece of paper. We are so excited for Penny's new owners and to fo...
Signature Trail Horse: Misty

Misty is one of those horses that just loves to be around people; whether it is on the trail, in the arena, or just in her stall. I love her authentic personality and her dependability as a partner. Most of all, I love the home we found for her. Misty is a great representation of our Signature Trail Horses. If you are looking for a horse like Misty, give us a call; you never know, we may be wor...
American Horse Company Signature Horse: Bingo
Переглядів 5232 роки тому
Not only is Bingo one of my favorite horses I have had the pleasure of training, he has become a favorite lesson horse at my riding academy, Cornerstone Riding Academy. He is not your typical lesson horse that just stands there and does nothing. Bingo has the ability to take care of our tiniest, most inexperienced students, but then in the same day be the perfect partner for our more advanced/e...
Trail Horse of Your Dreams
Переглядів 2012 роки тому
It is not everyday that you will come across a horse like Marty. Marty was foaled at a big ranch in Colorado where he spent most of his time in open pastures with crazy terrain so it should be no surprise how at home he is on the trail. Marty is trained by Certified Method Ambassador and Colt Starter Mark Hernandez from Downunder Horsemanship. Marty doesn’t come with any baggage, he just wants ...

Amen 📖🕊 Wow. This is the kind of mutual trust, respect, and communication relationship horsemanship my grandfather and great grandfather held to. What a blessing. I look forward to learning more, and God willing, one day participating. Shalom in Christ Jesus <><

I knew she didn’t like her hind end to be touching, before you said anything. So, why not pat her all over, first. Gain her trust? Spent some time patting her hind end. So she can calm downs d you’re not throwing a rope at her. To make her tense? It has worked for me. You seem to be in a rush to train. Why not take your time? What you’re doing is traumatizing the animals.

You people absolutely have shocked me, I’m from Australia & have worked in the outback ( breaking horses) most of my life but never in all my days have I ever seen or heard of someone breaking a horse to saddle in 1 day & by chasing it around with a bloody car. I don’t give a shit whether your chasing them with a car, horse or 4 wheeler, all are so wrong on so many levels. You are literally flooding those horses and wearing them down so badly they have no more fight left in them. Do u get how fucking cruel that is. Promoting to people that you can have them saddle ready in a day is beyond irresponsible. Come on guys wake up & smell the fucking roses. I’d love to come over there & chase you bastards down with a car. With this way you should put yourselves and the horses out of all yours misery and just give up and go and learn from a real horseman. F..K ME……….
