Christopher Yuan and Preston Sprinkle disagree with one another, so it's confusing to endorse them both. Sprinkle is a heretic, Yuan is definitely the one to read as well as Rosaria Butterfield. Yuan is an example of someone set free by Christ from the sins of homosexuality, fornication, and drug abuse. Butterfield has also been given a new heart and renewed mind and has entirely been rescued from homosexual lust. I'm sympathetic to avoiding unnecessary offense, but the Gospel just is offensive to unbelievers. The Bible is very clear that if someone is born again, they are a new creation. The old is dead, the new has come. Residual sin in the flesh is despised by Christians and mortified through sanctification in the Holy Spirit as we strive with Him to make our calling and election sure. There is no such thing as an LGBTQ Christian any more than there are Muslim Christians, serial killer Christians or spouse abusing Christians, etc. If the Scriptures don't make it clear enough already (and they do), then let the comments about this video from homosexuals make it clear that there's no middle ground. 1 John 3:6-8 - "No one who abides in [Christ] sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him. Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil." Jesus came to destroy sin, not soften it or explain it away with empathetic nuance. Sin is sin, regardless of one's sin du jour. Homosexuality is no different and is not especially invincible to the power of regeneration in Christ. "Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin." Like all sins, to be freed from slavery to sexual sins requires repentance and submission to Christ's lordship over all aspects of life. Until one submits to Christ as Lord, they'll remain a slave to sin.

How can you witness to a family member if they are toxic and they believe you take Jesus too seriously..but you don't want them to go to hell.

In an “off the cuff” comment Brian mistakenly implied that God causes evil when giving an example of Israel being punished for their sins. What he should have said is that God sometimes allows evil when it serves his greater purpose. God never causes evil, but will sometimes allow evil (allowing a wicked King like Nebuchadnezzar to conquer Israel). God’s ultimate purpose is always good.

All I can say is I didn't choose to be gay, and no amount of praying or conversion therapy has helped, so clearly it isn't something you can change. I also don't believe in the notion that homosexuality is God's "challenge" for me, since that's a pretty lazy argument for why God "makes some people homosexual". It always feels like a slap in the face when heterosexual Christians who have never had to suffer from same sex attraction, start comparing homosexual acts to literal crimes like stealing. I mean crimes like stealing are wrong on a fundamentally human level, since it hurts people and most people would agree it's wrong regardless of religion or belief. Homosexuality on the other hand doesn't hurt anyone, and is only a sin in the eyes of religion. The only "logic" in it being a sin is because a man and a woman are required for procreation, but even that shows a very rudimentary understanding of biology, given that homosexuality has been observed in animals and has existed across various human cultures for thousands of years.

I've had same-sex attraction for as long as I can remember. I have tried to get rid of it for as long as I can remember. I have explained to Christians that believe it's a choice people make around teenhood that I have had it for an unusually long period of time, and they tell me I should be studied, put to death, that I couldn't be saved, etc. My faith journey has been rough so far, and genuinely praying for it to go away hasn't done much. I will be listening to this podcast and then editing my comment afterwards to give you my thoughts on your message. Thank you for posting about something that doesn't get discussed often enough. <3

Your comments about UN cutting down their figures by half is a misinformation. The figure was revised to reflect the identified corpses alone and not actual deaths. There are obviously corpses that are still buried under rubble.

First of all you need to not bring your religious views into this subject. Secondly you should probably be a little more open minded and have some real knowledge about the subject that you’re discussing before bringing just your opinions into it. Read some books on the subject and don’t just quote from the Bible, that’s a very small and non knowledgeable book on this issue. And don’t get me started on all the eye witness accounts from very intelligent people and sources that state much different opinions from what you’re saying. Please read a different book before passing judgement or pretending that you know something on this issue.

Supposedly they hide the existence to protect the logging industry. If it came out, millions of acres of forest land would become preserved for the Sabe/Sasquatch habitat.
