I start tomorrow I’m super nervous 😭I got hired as a PCT/PCA through a program from my high school, I graduated June 2024 so since I got my diploma I qualified to get hired. I have no experience, but they said it’s usually better that we don’t so they can teach us I’m just nervous about what I have to do the first day🥺hope I don’t fail.

Hey is it true that at times yall are required to work 24 hour shifts if so have you heard of surgical techs working a 24 hr then the next day continuing another 12 making it 36 hrs in total

For the longest time ive heard horrible stories about med surg and plp who dont like med surg which i never knew why, for some reason the misconception made me not want to do it but you made me see med surg isnt that bad it seems normal reasonable stress but also nice and rewarding,i am just getting my certification as a cna and im excited to start working soon

So your basically started off as a pct /cna and worked your way up to nursing.....sorry i know in a little late.i heard thats the best way to start and get yiur foot in the door ... i was also a resident care aide and ... the facility i worked for pretty much ruined the whole experience for me ... and i just feel like maybe its just not for me .... do you ha e any advice on that

My hospital has q4 vitals too. Does it means I have to be done until 8am for 8am vitals ? ı am confused when is the earliest that ı can start it ?

Do you like working in the hospital as a PCT? Thinking of changing jobs soon. I have been in home health for almost 6 years! Ready for a change and wanting to try out the hospital but I’m always nervous to try new things.
