Hi I'm Jody, I live in Australia and am a Textile Fiber Artist. I specialize in making stunning Luxury, Exotic & Rare fiber products for other like minded fiber artist, as well as for my own projects. I've been spinning for almost 13 years now, weaving for 8years and dyeing fiber for 5years. My goal is to share what I love with anyone interested in learning to create stunning Yarns, fiber and woven garments for themselves.
I offer custom orders for those with a vision and desire to own such stunning unique yarns and/or handpainted fiber ready to spin & felt with.
I will be filming all or most of my orders and projects which can take a week or 2 to complete the process of making the items, filming and editing.
For every 100 subs up to 1000 subs, I'll hold a GIVEAWAY.
Once I hit 1000 subs I'll put on a GIVEAWAY for every 500 subs.

This is part 2 to the Painted Batt video I put out early this week. Please note these videos were filmed in 2020 and rendered this week June 2024. Still a very full and fun video I thought you would all enjoy.
For the beads I'm using Japanese glass tear drops as they sit nice when spun and they do not slip up and down the yarn.
This was an order which fell through after it was made, which I then re-did the order in a different color for the buyer. However this yarn still sold not long afterwards.
This is part 2 to the Painted Batt video I put out early this week. Please note these videos were filmed in 2020 and rendered this week June 2024. Still a very full and fun video I thought you would all enjoy.

Tonight's bonus video I am sharing an older video I filmed a couple years ago but only just made it up and rendered it today. This one was for a friend in Pearl Fiber. Made into a gradient set of 3 batts which I then spun up for her. There was way too much background noise for me to remove so I have added some music instead. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanking you :) I will have to try make more of this yarn but with my health I have not been able to make the more tedious but more enjoyable yarns like this one for years :( which is sad. But I am thinking I should do something new for you guys/girls soon as I have a heap of different coloured beads now and some stunning new fibre.

How do you determine which direction to spin in? The direction the core is spun in, or opposite?
I do talk about this further on in the video. But if you want to knit or weave with it you spin the core clockwise and ply anti-clockwise, if you want to crochet with it you spin core anti-clockwise and play it clockwise.

@josparadiseofcolor I caught that part, I wasn't sure if that applied to the core/single as the core is already spun. Not sure if that matters as I've never core spun before and really want to try it.
