Great video sir!
Are you coming to Appling this August?
I'm not sure. Do you know the date?
@@publiclandrambler It's the 19 I think, I think it says the date on there Facebook page.
You definitely need check out BULLMAN OUTDOORS RING OF STEPS ! THE PLATFORM STEPS ARE AWSOME ...
How effective and efficient could a crossbow hunter be out the jx3 , far as maneuvering around and trying to shoot with normal crossbow ?
I've never shot a crossbow from one, but I know a lot of people do. I've never heard any complaints about it. It would be pretty similar to shooting a rifle, though. You have plenty of clearance for the limbs when you're shooting to the side whether it's a strong side or weak side shot.
To Much crap to drag into the woods
Your assumptions are highly inaccurate. The average saddle hunter carries a lot more gear into the woods than I do. The JX3 Hybrid is all one piece, so you're only "dragging" the saddle and sticks.
@@publiclandrambler set a ladder stand I carry nothing lol
@@publiclandrambler I’ve tried these saddles for me they’re way to uncomfortable
@@jasonnester9514 yeah your comments sounds about as stupid as a screen door on a submarine... this video is about mobile hunting and nothing about what stands are easy or best ... I'd like to see u on public land running around in dark with ladder stand trying find your tree to hunt and set up ...😂gtfoh Einstein !
great job thanks so cool🤠
Thanks
Just out of curiosity. I’m a big guy and the weight limit is 300 on this. As someone that is just a little over. And has to have cold-weather clothes to use something like this. Is this a dealbreaker?
I was 350+ when I first got my JX3. When this video was made, I was 330-340 and I've always been fine in it. I had a couple days where I had my bridge twisted (rushing to get set up) and it would get pretty tight those days, though.
I weight 250. Will the jx3 hold me safely?
Yes, it is rated for 300lbs
Have u ever tired a platform for feet ?
Yes. I use the JX3 sticks with the wide bar for my platform. Before that I used Wild Edge Steps as a ring of steps.
Very good review! I am also a trad bow shooter. Last year I shot long bow and gonna try recurve this year. For the weak side shot, are you circling the tree all the way, or is there anyway to stand and turn to shoot? Also, do you ever tuck into cover with it or do you always have to be on a power pole like tree? I prefer the cover even at the sacrifice of the 360 degree shooting. Thanks!
Looks like James Wood you passed at 23:08.
It was and Al Chapman was in the same group.
Great video of real 3d!! I shoot daily but only make it to the course few times lately
Thanks, we shoot at that club once a month from Jan to Aug
Greetings from Spain, I am starting with the traditional bow, an entertaining video, here we have difficulties to be able to practice and hunt, I subscribe to the channel so as not to miss any videos, any advice on a bow to hunt, I currently have a black hunter but when I have a little more money I will buy something of higher quality
Thank you for subscribing. Bows are more about personal fit so it's hard to recommend the "best" bow for someone. Personally I shoot the creekwalker Gator and I have a Damon Howatt Hunter recurve that I shoot also.
Hey I was one of the youth traditional shooters that shot with you in Appling and I was wondering what town is this club in?
Gainesville. You can find them on Facebook under North Georgia Traditional Archery
How many inches are you actually drawing ?
I have a 28 inch draw. I lost a couple inches after a shoulder injury.
How does the headrest affect getting the backpack off the hook
I don't notice a difference when I have it installed.
I don't have the square bracket with mine. Is that because it is from the first series?
Yes, yours is the "gen 1". The new style has the square mounting brackets
Pet that deer for me.
I will
What is your max distance for maintaining sufficient kinetic energy?
Hunting I keep my shots 20 yards and under with 15 or less being my favorite. On a target range I'll shoot as far as the targets are set (depending on the back stop). I've never worried about the actual kinetic energy because I know my broad heads are extremely sharp, at my hunting ranges I'm accurate enough to hit the spot I'm "aiming" at and my arrows are heavy enough to get the penetration needed.
That's a tough giraffe. Still standing. Huh!
The last giraffe target I shot, we had to use a ladder to retrieve our arrows 😁
Love the video I am a archer to🏹🏹
Thanks. I'm hoping to make it to a local range today to film multiple targets.
Nice shot
Thanks
What's the pull weight?
Yea what's the pull weight

I want one, but I just want to try it first. Maybe I'll catch the next southern show. I got to know if it's more comfortable than my diy bosun seat, with a back strap. You would think it would be, with rigid back, and the material it's made of. But I have to say I'm already pretty cozy. But it looks better for packing. I can one stix with my bosun seat (I'm sure one could with the jx3 as well). Using the S.MA.R.T. climbing method. Watch (One Stixing like a BOSS). Instead of a stix you would just need another tether to put your weight onto, so you can advance the climbing line. It's simple, easy, and safe. I wouldn't recommend it to a big man if it wasn't. I hope you try it. I hope you like it and leave a comment. Thanks.
It's extremely comfortable. I use a two tether climbing system when I need to get higher than my sticks will reach.
@@publiclandrambler I'm sure it is, just need to try it first. Yeah, that 2tc isn't for me. I tried it 5 yrs. ago, dern near killed myself. Well maybe you'll try the S.M.A.R.T. method one day. Thanks, be safe.
Glad to hear you're feeling better. Enjoyed the video.
Thank you!
I’m fixing to bite the bullet and buy the jx3. Love your videos they helped with the decision to buy.
Take your time with it and you'll love it. Glad I could help
I am thinking of purchasing the jx3 and I'm also thinking of taking on the challenge of hunting with a SLING-BOW / SLING SHOT made by : chief A.J.'s/ Tony's elite sling bow that shoots 150- 200fps depending on arrow set up ! Its about as efficient as a traditional bow and it minimal design allows u to hunt in trees brush bushes etc. & never worry about allowing room to shoot a bow or anything just tuck yourself back in group of trees and have better close encounters i believe ! Check out big game hunting with chief AJs elite sling bow on UA-cam, its pretty cool ...
Good luck to you. I'll check it out
Best review I’ve seen on here for any saddle! What website do I find this bad boy saddle on?
Thank you. www.jx3outdoors.com Discount code ST23
Nobody ever demonstrates in an actual hunting scenario where they set up exactly as if they’re hunting !
Actually there's quite a few that do. I'll be doing some shooting videos when my new bow comes in and I'll be at hunting height.
How much does your set up weigh
I've never actually weighed it but I believe the JX3 and sticks are around 16 or 17 pounds. It's not bad especially considering my rifle weighs 9+ pounds 😁
Awesome video. What are the small pouches on the upper corners of your pack? I bought the JX3 sticks when they came out and they are by far the easiest to use and safest feeling sticks I've found.
Thank you. Those are the shoulder bags that are part of the Versa Pack. You can purchase them individually on the website under the accessories tab though. Discount code ST23 jx3outdoors.com/jx3-versa-pack-saddle-bags-1-left-1-right/
Great looking set up! Thanks for the demo!😁
It's an awesome system
UPS just dropped mine off. So pumpedtraditinal saddles are uncomfortable and I find myself constantly adjusting for hot spots. So excited about saving my back!
Take your time to get it dialed in and it'll blow your mind.
Dandy buck and fired up for sure.
I saw him three times in four days. He really is fired up
Very interesting. Nice work!
Thanks
good stuff
Thanks
I believe it’s your review that is going to make me order this saddle hybrid. The best I saw on UA-cam yet. I saw the weight rating is 300 lbs. I am 6”5 290. Should I be concerned at all?
I'm 330 and was 350 when I first got mine, and I've never had any issues with it.
Whenever my Guido’sWeb wears out, I’m gonna get a JX3! I’ve been hung out of my Guidos web for 10 years now, and I still love it! I know Butch Guido went out of business and they don’t make them anymore ……. The fork makes all the difference. Thanks for the review. Awesome.
The owner of JX3 bought Guido's when Butch retired. He spent a couple years making improvements to it. You'll be happy with it when you get your web worn out.
@@publiclandrambler oh cool, that make sense. They are hands-down, the most comfortable saddles out there.
You have encouraged me to skip all other saddles and I just purchased the JX3 Hybrid saddle and sticks. Hope it’s worth it. Thank You
I believe you'll be happy with it if you give it an honest chance. It takes a few sits to get it completely dialed in, but it's even more comfortable and awesome when you do.
Looks uncomfortable like tethered waste
What is it about the JX3 that makes you assume it's not comfortable?
I wasted my money on tethered
A lot of people have done that. The good news is there is always someone out there that still believes they're awesome and you can sell it to them and get a JX3.
Been tempted to try a saddle great review bud !!!
Thank you
I've always been a climber guy. Just seems like a lot of moving parts. It does look really comfortable. How easy is it to set up a climb in the dark?
It's extremely simple. The only "moving parts" are hooking up your linesman rope, and attaching your bridge. That's a total of three carabineers. As far as doing it in the dark, it's the same as a climber. Once you get over the learning curve, you know where everything is so it becomes muscle memory.
How much does the setup without the sticks weigh? I’m tempted to buy one of these if it’s enough weight savings but a little worried about the cables impeding shooting
It's right at 8 pounds without the sticks. The bridge doesn't hurt your shooting at all. I shoot traditional bows and muzzleloaders without any problems. (One of my bows is 74" long also.
Would you mind sharing your height and weight? I’m a big fella, and you are the first review I’ve seen of a guy my size, I’m really interested in the JX3. Thanks.
I'm 6'3" 330
@@publiclandrambler thanks brother, I’m 6’4, 340…I think I’m gonna have to give it a try!!!

I have hunted out of a tetherd saddle for years and now I got the jx3 hybrid and it's like night and day I love my jx3 so cunfy and versatile I will never go back to a regular saddle again great vidio
Welcome to the JX3 family
@@publiclandrambler thank you
Got mine yesterday along with saddle. Was very surprised how l light they were. I only wish where they rest against the bottom there was some material to protect the seat. I'll be adding something there to keep them from rubbing thru.
Make sure the top bar is on the bottom of the stack, and they'll stack together like they're supposed to. That helps with them rubbing against the seat material.
Glen Campbell wrote a song about those belts decades ago. Wichita Lineman
Actually his song was about the workers (linesman) The ropes are directly from the linesmen. That's why they're called linesmen ropes.
This is the 1st I’ve heard of this saddle. Great vid!!
Thank you. They're the best secret in the woods but we're working on getting the word out about them. 😁
Wow, very cool review! Been looking at saddles and never knew of these hybrids. Definitely gonna take a look at these, too!
Thank you.
