I would like to know where the figures came from 1750 of narrow and 750 wide, think thats been made up, Toyota released no such figures. Lovely rare car just the same. The wide body was an after thought to use up parts the narrow was the original made 3 years before and its why the wide had a normal tailgate with wiper and the narrow didnt by the time they made the wide they had run out of the light weight tailgate without washer and wiper. Such a great looking car really a stunner.

what a bueatiful car. perhaps you can clear up some confusion I have. this car was built during the period after the premerger era but not fully under the Mercedes in house performance division also when they only owned a percentage not 100%. being the 2 gen c124 this was made in merc's factory or still sent to afalterbach. also was this a full Mercedes built engine meaning it wasn't a long block sent to AMG for whatever stroking or new head/cam. im a premerger fanatic so I didn't follow them as much when they became a NY part of Mercedes. I believe they should have gone the way Ruf Automobile did but that's my completely irrelevant opinion. from 1980 until 1991 was my area I sought to become very informed . last question the w124 in estate/wagon form is an S124 correct not T124? this is still a bueatiful and very significant piece of performance car history. great job . cheers

First thing,I would do,if I would buy that blue 2-door....repaint...not that it's a bad paint job (I wouldn't know)....but the colour of light blue,it hurts my eyes to see this beautiful classic car,in a cheap colour....My recommendation...cherry red,burgundy...even white is better...ivory....options are unlimited...

Oemhammers is right. Everything was an option in theses just like any 124, only the wheels were standard. Kit, elec seats, aircon etc all extras. I used to work on a customers convertible E36 many years ago and it was proper basic spec!

No Shane, the gen 2 kit was actually an optional extra with the E36s believe it or not! You’ll find some actually don’t have the kit and just look like a standard E320 (whether it be a coupe, saloon or estate)… In reality they are just a slightly refined and beefed up E320. I think the mono blocks, however, were standard for the E36s, but I know the kit was definitely not. 😊 As I say, E36s are truly special and rare, this one is great and I’ve come across it a few times online and know what’s what with them. Good video and good luck with the sale. 👍🏾
