Thanks. I did put a lot of effort into that one, although I'm not 100% happy about how the red body came out.

It's the Lake District, which is over in Cumbria, while I'm in Northumberland, so not quite on my door step, but it's just as beautiful here too. The intro is from the Mini SE that I lost. I think I'll be going with the Mini 3 to replace it.

You do realise that i'm simply prepping it, for the colour? Thats the black base, with grey and white dry brushing, before adding the contrast.

I know the feeling. I'm trying to avoid buying any new models until the ones I have, are painted.

Cheers Dude, sorry I had to translate that first. That is a good point actually. It never crossed my mind to paint over the black first.

From what I can recall (as that was a while ago) and as it shows, I think I just did a red layer and then ran a dark/black contrast paint over the top, and the red pulled through, in discrete places. I had no idea what I was doing at the time. But it seemed to work.

Hi Dude. I admit, I'm bad at cleaning up the models 100% before painting. Even now, I still forget to do it or don't even notice :/ I honestly, don't have the patience to do edge highlighting and rely a bit too much on 'slapchopping' and contrast paint, hoping it pulls through. But in this instance, the 'slapchop' was wiped out, by the shiny Army Painter, paint. I did dry-brush to try and add some edging, and it kind of worked. And the holes... I don't trust my 41 year fingers, to not mess up while drilling holes in my models! :) But I appreciate the suggestions, it might be stuff I look into, with future models.

Cheers. I might need to work on my camera positioning, on my strap, but I'm happy with how it came out.
