Yes though you may still be able to get one later in the day it would be more difficult and it depends on luck. When I was there on a weekday they were all sold out around eleven (frozen, peter pan, rapunzel)

The express pass unfortunately does not include access to the mario kart ride. But there is a single rider line (close to the ride entrance e.g. turn right at 02:52), which is a good skip but you'd miss out on some parts of the queue. We bought the early access tickets which allowed us to enter the area earlier, so we didn't have to wait too long in the normal queue. Hope this helps!

It's a bit hard for me to compare because I bought the color sets from beetles and the base and top coat set from modelones. The ones I bought all work well for me, so I'd say if you prefer modelones you can try that brand first
