Hazrat Abbas (RA) was born on 4th Shaban, 26 AH (647 CE) in Madinah.
He was the son of Hazrat Ali (RA), the fourth Caliph of Islam, and Fatima bint Hizam (RA), also known as Ummul Baneen. She was known for her piety and devotion to the family of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Raised in a household of piety and valor, Abbas (RA) inherited the qualities of his father, Hazrat Ali (RA), including bravery, wisdom, and adherence to Islamic principles.

The children in Imam Hussain's camp were suffering from extreme thirst. Abbas (RA) went to fetch water from the Euphrates River under heavy enemy attack.
While returning with water for the children, he was ambushed. His arms were severed, and he was struck with arrows, one of which pierced the water skin he was carrying.
Hazrat Abbas (RA) fell to the ground and was martyred. He is remembered as a symbol of loyalty and sacrifice.
