New radiator, rebuilt injection pump, steering is very tight, no slop. Everything has been done in my shop besides the TA (done at Case/IH dealer). The paint looks very good, ready for parades, or put back to work on ...

    Wrong seat for for a black strip 1066 and wrong 3 point arms what you have were first on a the 86 siers I know this because we had a 1976 1066 and a 1977 1086 both were bought new from the dealer in sleepyeye mn so your tractor is not original.

    the powerstrokes are the guys that have trouble starting in the winter. a straight 4 diesel engine is very simple to start. I've never plugged in my tdi and all I do is make sure the glow plugs are working and I have a strong battery. And as far as reliability, they are reliable mechanically but do have alot of window reg failures and minor interior bits that break on these models. hope that helps

  • @marjoriegrap9486
    @marjoriegrap9486 11 років тому

  • @cumminsdiesel1234567

    @47927411D I love it. I've never ran it with the ring in it before. I screams all the time now compared to the old h1c which would only whistle under a load. It solved my problem I had with the surging under a load.

  • @amiausUSA
    @amiausUSA 13 років тому

    How much did the crankshaft and followers cost to replace? What kind of oil are you using at present? My 1997 Jetta 1.9L TDI with 90 hp requires synthetic oil.

  • @cumminsdiesel1234567
    @cumminsdiesel1234567 14 років тому

    Yeah, it's gone now. In its place is a sweet 5" turbo back exhaust with a 6" tip behind the rear passenger tire.

  • @cumminsdiesel1234567
    @cumminsdiesel1234567 14 років тому

    @BigDan855 If the wastegate was working, yes it wouldn't be such an agressive sound. The only thing I changed was the turbo itself. With the hx35 you have to move your downpipe back an inch or so. That's the only thing you have to change though.

  • @cumminsdiesel1234567
    @cumminsdiesel1234567 14 років тому

    @BigDan855 Well it's the boost pressure trying to spin the turbo impeller the other direction with a suddden loss of exhaust pressure to continue to spin the impeller. I have a HX35 on mine now. Mine surged too bad under a load with the h1c so this fixed the problem.

  • @cumminsdiesel1234567
    @cumminsdiesel1234567 14 років тому

    @91CTD Sweet. Hell i guess i don't even know what size mine is. It's an hx35. It the size stamped into the housing somehwere?

  • @cumminsdiesel1234567
    @cumminsdiesel1234567 14 років тому

    @Trex600Pilot I had to buy a pickup unit from isspro to hook into the tach. If my original crank sensor was working right I would just plug it in under the dash to the factroy wiring harness.

  • @cumminsdiesel1234567
    @cumminsdiesel1234567 14 років тому

    @91CTD I;ve got a k&n air filter which opens it up a little and lets moree sound out through the intake. My hx35's wastegate is disconnected which allows me to build just a hair above 35 psi which is where I'd like it. With a straight pipe u should be able to hear it whistling and barking when ur under boost and suddenlly let off the go go peddle.

  • @91CTD
    @91CTD 14 років тому

    why doesn't my 93 make that sound between shifts!!! it pisses me off. i put on a 12cm housing and wired the wastegate shut and it has a 3" straight exhaust. Does your truck have an upgraded intake or anything? mines all stock. i know the hx35 is a little noisier than the h1c but come one my turbo is silent
