We got to run a makeup feature from our June 1st rainout, which was stupid fortuitous for us as on June 1st in the Heat we broke the driveshaft which would have left us out, but the rain came and allowed us to fight another day. Big treat today as we have the second gopro pointed into the cockpit so you can see exactly what Alex is trying to wrangle. It continues to amaze me how much progress he's making week in/week out.

IMCA Racesaver 305 Winged Sprint Car with Ohio Thunder Series This track is pretty tough on a good night, and I think this was the first time the fastest way around the track was on the bottom so lapping cars became more than just driving around the outside around them...we got driven through.

IMCA Racesaver 305 Ohio Thunder Series You can start to hear the engine feeling a little rough, we're pretty sure this was the continuation of the exhaust getting loose as well as spark plugs getting weak. Lost the rest of the feature video after the Red flag.

IMCA 305 Racesaver Winged Sprint Cars Ohio Thunder Series Florence was an amazing track, longer than any other in the series and was basically 2 drag strips connected by u-turns. So much fun trying to figure it out, so scary for Dad! Got into the first tank slapper in the heat race, but ultimately feature ended far too soon when the nose wing ripped the rivets clear out which really bummed out ...

Starts off showing how Alex's laps looked finishing the feature (after he spun, so no loss of confidence just information gained), then goes back in time to the beginning of the night during group qualifying, then heat race, then the full feature. Here is Alex running a Quarter Midget in a Drivers Experience day put on by the local club as we look to next year to figure out what would be a good next step for him.
Awesome. Now all that he needs is to run closer to the cones, so that the distance is cut by a few percent. That will result in time improvement.
