I had the extraordinary opportunity to host a morning radio show on Hot 1079 from '99-'00 and then again from '13-'18, which was the Top 40 radio station that is close to this area! My girlfriend's condo was situated right on this bay, and at night, we could see them training, with their tiny lights on their snorkel or something. I was envious that the Program Director of the Classic Rock sister station got to hang out on the base, but I can't complain too much! I had the incredible experience of FLYING IN A FIGHTER JET at Tyndale AF Base, promoting the air show. During this, I earned the call sign "Unicorn" from the Lt. Colonel because "your type doesn't exist," as I didn't throw up, panic, or tap out during my flight. I was also the only civilian to ever complete ALL OF IT, including the maneuvers, pulling Gs (several times), breaking the speed of sound, and a simulated dogfight (in which we got blown up, but only because he pulled up, thinking I was about to pass out from the prolonged G-force). My advice is this: pay attention during training. When they prepare you for the sensation of breathing under G-force, take extra time to get used to it, so it doesn't become a source of panic. And when pulling Gs, make the "kah" sound they suggest! I practiced that and, in the weeks leading up to the flight, I started swimming underwater for as long as I could. I managed to reach 2 minutes and 21 seconds (I was a lifeguard on the beach for 4 years and have always kept my certification and continued to train). As far as how does G Force feel? It's not pleasant at all. haha It's like swimming underwater BUT WITH SOMEONE STANDING ON YOUR STOMACH! GREAT VIDEO! I LOVE OUR MILITARY AND OUR VETS!

I was a QM in the Navy. I volunteered for and qualified in submarines. I spent two weeks at sea aboard USS Indianapolis (SSN 697) as a volunteer for a short notice mission, Xmas 1986. Proud to know the name lives on, and to know the history lives on.

What a truly special human being he is! There will be none like this generation again! They are incredible. Its a lesson in adversity, suffering, hardship and loss that we all should listen to and learn from but more importantly keep the next generation engaged with. We cannot forget or lose the memories of the sacrafices they made for us today! And 4.3k views is unbelievable more people have to see this.
