We arrived in Vernal, UT for Bronco Safari 2024. The next day we hop on Coyote Gulch trail. This trail is rated at a 6 requiring front and rear lockers and 33" tire. Since the bronco doesn't have lockers I had to bypass some things. It was a great time here in Vernal and I'm exited to go to more events with the Utah Bronco Club! Great video! Sick seats! To check for vacuum leaks without a smoke machine, spray carb/brake clean around and on all the vacuum lines. If the truck revs up as soon as you spray it at that spot, you found the leak.

    Surprised you haven't jumped in the world of german diesels yet. Not a big euro guy but love my daily Audi TDI though. For a random opinion, I'd say that one Audi video didn't really do well because I think coilover videos are a bit over-saturated. (I think the motor pull video idea you scrapped would've gotten better views)

      I was big into TDIs a few years ago! I’ve owned a few of them and they were so much fun! I want to TDI swap something crazy eventually! And you’re probably right! That was pretty much all we did that weekend though and I’m trying to keep making weekly content. Gotta keep trying other things!

    I k ow this was awhile ago but what was it doing? Why did you install this?

    • @electricsmith1650
      @electricsmith1650 9 днів тому

      We installed this after we manual swapped this 01 car. 01 cars have different wiring than the other IS300s so we couldn’t swap in a manual ECU. This emulator tricks the ECU into thinking it still has the auto trans, therefore not leaving the car in limp mode after a manual swap.

    Check your ECM mounted in drivers fenderwell. They start getting corroded internally & cause all sorts of odd issues. Luckily they are pretty interchangeable so finding a wrecking yard one or rebuilding current is pretty simple...
