How To Wax Your Snowboard
Переглядів 71Рік тому
Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe and like! I got the hot sauce wax off Amazon. I was gonna get a cheap iron from target but my mom gave me this one. Any iron will work but it’s better to have one without holes.

This us exactly what I was looking for thanks man

How is the anti-fog on these? I’m looking for lens replaceable goggles with good anti-fog.
Same
they are almost as good as my oakley flight deck L. All goggles fog up in my experience even when i apply anti fog coating. the only way my goggles dont fog up is if i am not wearing a face covering like a balaclava or a gaiter oakley flight deck uses 2 panel lenses while shady rays uses 1 panel. also the prizm technology is better which allows for greater contrast when looking at the snow. they are worth it if you are comparing them at full price but right now you can get select oakleys for 50% off. id recommend oakley over these but the choice is yours. here is a link to some oakleys. if you are getting oakleys, flight deck or the fall line as they have rimless goggles and look the best in my opinion. here is a link. www.oakley.com/en-us/product/W0OO7099S?variant=888392550576
@@8pie ok
@@WaffleFn the shady rays are good goggles but Oakley has a little better technology for anti fog and vision clarity. If you can find some oakleys on sale I’d recommend bc they are expensive. But shady rays is a good budget friendly option
Prizm Snow Argon Iridium order up n the Flight Deck L for half price on kine from the Oakley web sight $124.00 vs reg price of $249 Canadian 😁
Not a good review
the comment section is to ask questions that were not answered in the video. thanks
1:33 ayo what.
lol. nice vid
Have you tried the Denali version? I have those and wondering what the difference is. Should I upgrade to Frontier?
just the shape is different. so the visibility will be different. I got some oakley flight decks that are a similar shape as the denalis. I didnt like the shape at first but i love them now. I think the flight deck L has the biggest fov for snowboarding goggles.
How have your shady rays googles held up?
They are good but I haven’t used them since I got my new goggles. They did me well. I’ll test them out next time I go and compare the two
What helmet do you pair it up with? Wish you did a view on the glasses paired with a helmet to see if theres any gaps
Lol. I was using a triple eight skate helmet but just got an oakley mod 5. They fit nicely with my skate helmet but ill let you know how they go with my other helmet too. I can only assume that they will fit nicely. What helmet do you have?
Hey, how was this board for a beginner? Was it easy to learn on or did you catch edges often? Looking to buy one too!
I like this board a lot! The wider board makes it so you are more stable which will help you learn. Wider boards are harder to turn but that can be a good thing when learning. I believe that having a wider board could help prevent catching edges but I could be wrong. If you want to avoid catching edges you should watch a video about it and just practice so you become better and are less susceptible to catching an edge. Even the best snowboarders will catch an edge at times. I went boarding about ten times for a couple hours last season and I only caught an edge once or twice.
Why did you get a 155cmW board if you’re a size 10?
Wow I just looked into it and I did get a wide board haha... When I bought I was advised that getting a wide board is only recommended for people with bigger feet for no toe drag. I thought my board was normal sized since I do not have another board to compare to. Thinking about it now, I am glad my board is a wide model. Having a wider board will give you more stability on the snow. Wide boards can be helpful to distribute weight if you are heavier. Wide snowboards are harder to turn though since it requires more force. In my experience, I do not have trouble turning my board since I have tree trunks for legs. I also feel very precise with my turns and stops. I'm 5'10 175 and have size ten feet. If you are big enough is those aspects then getting a bigger board could be more worth it depending on what you want in a board. I skateboard and also ride a wide board which provides more stability. If doing ollies or park tricks, it gives you a larger margin of error when landing tricks. Same with skateboards. Check this article out as it will provide you with more information: snowsportsplanet.com/are-wide-snowboards-harder-to-turn/
Can I have your credit cord number? Thanks in advanced.
Yes it’s 696969696969696969
@@8pie 🧐
OMG I'm getting exactly same setup! What size do u recomend for 170cm tall?
When you hold the board, it should be between your shoulders and chin. I am 176cm tall 170 pounds. I love how my board rides so if you want it to be similar to mine I would say to get 148-152cm. The longer the board, the faster the speed. The shorter the board, the more control of the board you have. If you are just starting, I would say get a little smaller size. 150cm would be similar to my set up considering our size difference.
I have that board in orange
This board is so so sick. I have got so many compliments on it!
@@8pie yea it’s a pretty board for sure
@@daveyfgn Are you getting the union force bindings too? What color?
@@8pie I have the union flite pros.. they get me by. Next season I want some flow bindings
@@daveyfgn You should get the flow fuse hybrids. Those are dope
what do you think of the optics? was the contrast enhancement and clarity good?
The optics are nice. Super protective from the sun and they are super clear. They are super high quality goggles
@@8pie Thanks for the review. They currently have a massive sale. Wondering if they're still holding up and if they look good with goggles. They seem fairly small and I haven't seen enough pictures of them👍
I love these goggles. I used them 10 times and they are as good as new. A few scratches but that is bound to happen. The ShadyRays are not small and have a pretty good FOV. The Flight Decks L are on sale on oakley.com right now. I picked up a pair and also picked up a Mod5 helmet with MIPS. I think the Flight Deck L has a bigger FOV. When I go up to the snow, I am gonna make another review of the ShadyRays and also the Oakley helmet and goggles. I got the Oakley gear for half price for both items. Certain Flight Deck Ls are only $108 and then the ShadyRays are $70 with their discounts. As far as quality, they are both good but I think the oakleys will be slightly better overall. I went in person and looked at the oakley goggles but ordered them online. Don't have the goggles on me yet so I will let you know how they turn out.@@AlpineRR26
sweeeeeeeeeet!!! i got the same board and bindings like 1month ago as my first snowboard!!! Cant wait to start snowboarding!
Have you been snowboarding before? If it is your first time, make sure you don't go straight down the heel without learning how to stop. Either start heelside (facing the bottom of the mountain) or toeside (back facing the bottom of the mountain). Learn how to go balance and move down the mountain that way and then start to learn going side to side primarily facing the same way you learned how to stop. Let me know of you have any questions!
@@8pie its my first time after 14 years of no snowboarding , it will be like its my first time again, not sure if i remember anything. thnx for the tips 😃
Nice set up. I bought my first board too I got the capita indoor survival and union force binding and og van classic boots. I love it.
I was going to get vans boots but I wasn’t sure. I skate so I prefer vans for skating but I wanted to try on the boot before I bought it and they didn’t have vans at my local snow shop. Let me know how you like them!!
I also looked up the board and that is so dope. That is such a sick setup 🔥
Sick!
💜💜💜
its a stomp pad, you are good!
I went snowboarding last Saturday and realized that it is to help steer. Thank you for telling me the name because I wouldn’t have known 😂. I’m very glad I got a stomp pad bc I wasn’t sure if it was necessary but it is essential!
@@8pie where did u get it from?
@@bnybhhd I got it at a local snowboard shop but they have them online. I posted a link of it in the description. I’m sure different sites have different sizes and different colors
