I gave up
how much plywood did you use for this entire project?
Hi, did this build progress any further?
I was looking for just this. I really wanted to see it built from wood to sail.
Just want you to know that these videos are a gem! I want to build the same boat and it's so helpfull to see the entire process and also get a sense of what kind of work I am getting myself into :D
Scary process !
This looks like it will be fun to watch.
Tiny bubbles, in my epoxy, makes my fiberglass lumpy...
If the thickened epoxy is running, it's too thin.
Why wouldn't you assemble the bulkheads completely with clamps, THEN epoxy them with a couple of coats? Think of the tie saved.
Nice job on the epoxy coating!
Lovely days ;)
with this progress, the estimated completion date is approx. 2031.
Have you launched your crayfish Yet ? i am also thinking to build one my concern is i am 230 lbs so may be a 8 foot dinghy is to small for me Maybe a 10 footer would suite me better Any advice on this if you have had yours in the water to know its limits lol High five on your videos
You can save time by resin coating the ply and giving it a light sand before you cut out the parts.
Nice boat. Hit a reef,, ouch!
Some vertical bamboo posts on the ends of the cross-beams of the trailer would assist positioning!
Monarchy is the Best form of Government in today's World. I'm from INDIA. Democracy has a Tendency to Currupt. INDIA has Democracy. All our MPs and MLAs and their Families are all Kings and Queens. And every year Hundreds of New MPs and MLAs are added to the Currupt and SICK Indian Economy. We Salute your King and Queen. Long live the King and Queen of Thailand.
What’s the name of the boat?
This is Tiki 38 Pumpkin, built by Andy Smith Boatyard in the Philippines. It was built nearly 20 years ago. Still looking good.
Them dudes know what they’re doin..... 👌😎
That's a job well done. That must be the longest bowsprit I've ever seen on a Wharram. Is this in Seescapes boat yard?
Any update?? I’m hooked!
Gues she got board and gave up
Ok, all I learned from the video was to be patient 👎
Hey, I first saw you on Sailing Luckyfish. That channel had a playlist that shows all their video's from first to last. I don't think you need to do that for ALL your posts but it would be great if you could have a Hitia 14 playlist and a Crayfish playlist that runs from 1 to whatever. The Sailing Luckyfish channel has that setup so I watched all 109 Luckyfish videos in order in three days! I was hoping to watch your Hitia build that way someday as well. Thanks and keep up the good work.
hi, how are the works going? I am anxious to see progress. A few years ago I also purchased the construction plans of a Hitia 14 but I have not yet built it
Dear Marcel Pereira I saw all the chapters of the construction of the catamaran 14 that you made. I congratulate him to show step to step the work. It is a pain not to be able to see the end. The mast, the traversos, etc. If you could respond for my, I ask you to tell me how many kilograms of resin epoxica use in total. And all of micro spheres. And how thickness of badge wooden use for the helmet. Again congratulations. From Uruguay, Javier Curiel
Na da hätten doch noch 2 Kabelbinder dazwischen gepasst
Looking good! When do you think you’ll launch? Keep on building... 😎
Thank you :) I am not sure about the launch date. This is going to be a rowboat, sailboat and will have a little electric engine too. I am also still working on the Hitia 14, more videos of that coming up soon. :)
Great video's mate! Looking forward to seeing the launch and first sail! Would be cool to know how many hours approx you have spent on the build so far?
Hello Gregg, I stopped counting the hours, so I do not know. But I guess it must be at least 2 work hours per episode. :)
Lovely tune! Keep up the good work my friend!
Hi. what is wrong at the connection point of parts at 1.11
I don't know
Dilettantische Arbeit
Would you recommend the zip ties over using wire for stitching?
yes it is so much easier and faster to use
are you leaving zip ties in?
yes I left them in, if I would do it again then I would take them out step by step while doing the fillets, but in this case they are still in
This channel seems to inspired by primitive technology, anyway I subscribed because of previous boat that was being build. Plywood drum is not my thing so bye.
Damn - a flurry of activity. This lill beaut will be build in record time.... 😎👌
Great!
Using the Zip ties, probably saved a lot of time.
Before I used the copper wire, and now with the Zip ties everything indeed goes faster and it is more easy. Before I thought copper wire would give me more flexibility, but using Zip ties is so much better :)
It looks like your dinghy is going to be bigger than your cat. Can't wait to see both in use.
Hi Marcel. Sadly it appears your Wharram builds have been shelved. Good luck with the dinghy. Hope you are all well and safe in your neck of the woods.
Any news on the Wharram which we can see in the background? Has she sailed yet?
Hello Geoff, the Hitia 14 that is in the background still needs some work. I am also still working on the Hitia 14. Thank you for your question.
What about Hitia? Finish it! )
Hello Leonid, I am also still working on the Hitia 14. I will finish it and continue make video of that build too.
@@buildingsailboats4549 thank you. Can't wait to see the boat on the water :-)
Hi Marcel. Did you get your Hitia on the water?
Hello Waughthog Waugh, I am still working on the Hitia 14. You can see it in the background in the video, and I will also continue to publish videos of the Hitia 14 build
Congrats for starting the project!
thank you Captain Wulkie's Garage. I am now working on 2 projects at the same time. The Hitia 14 and the Crayfish
@@buildingsailboats4549 congratulations! Can't wait to see the Hitia on water!
