    • @ebon18cole

      I wouldn't recommend personally because it will make a lot of rasp. It will be plenty loud enough if you keep the resonators.

      At first I could tell a huge difference but now I don't. I've been needing to pull some plugs to recheck the gap and see if they're worn but I can tell something is off with them currently based on i'm getting misfires under high boost. The longevity of them is not good from what I've experienced other than that they're decent plugs just not long term.

    • @remogaggi82
      @remogaggi82 Місяць тому

      Yes the advantage is for ngk to make profits. Iridium is $4,700/oz and ruthenium is $400/oz. I like iridium, higher melting point would presumably mean less wear over time I.e. longer change intervals

  • @Starkiller12481

    Bleeding the LF3/4 intercooler is a must. Bleed until even all the tiny fizzy bubbles disappear. First bleed can take 45 min or more. Less time once its a maintenance routine. I wouldn't use the side release valves unless filling up an empty IC . Bleeding thru the schrader valve should be done every few months too, more during the summer heat. I suggest to people to use Water Wetter or VP Racing Cool Down in the funnel to bleed with. Heat is the achilles heel of the LF3/4 platform. Look into installing a small reservoir tank to continually self bleed the system, it's the best initial route to save you from manual maintenance bleeding. Edelbrock sells a nice universal one that many Schmidty Tuned V-Sports use. More than likely your rubber bleeder valve cover along with your manifold gasket melted/disintegrated because your MATs were way too hot, which happens from not bleeding the IC enough. Which is why bleeding or installing a res tank is so crucial. The computer will limit boost and power when MATs get too high to protect itself, and that creates a stressed system over time. Curious, your videos do not mention that your car is tuned, so I'm hoping that you are properly tuned being that you have an aftermarket ZZP intake. The LF3/4 is very sensitive to air change, and aftermarket intakes completely change the MAF of your V-Sport. Ultimately it causes a very rough lean state in the AFR which is a slow death that starts to reveal itself with more and more issues that build up over time. Making things even hotter too. Also, hope your aftermarket blow off valves are in full-recirc as that is what the system actually requires. If you're all tuned up properly, than disregard my concerns for your V-Sport bro! Just ran across your channel and I have been a leading voice in the progression of this platform because I absolutely love the CTS V-Sport and ATS-V. 95% of mechanics and even Cadillac Techs rarely see an LF3/4 engine, so it's best to learn it yourself like you are doing. Check out Schmidty Tuning when ya get a chance, as no other performance tuner has progressed and pushed this platform more. Also if you ever need performance parts, I'm the sales and promo director over at Renick Performance. Have fun on your CTS V-Sport journey! They are rare gems with TONS of hidden power. Warmest regards! Jaeden

      @ebon18cole Рік тому

      Thank you! I appreciate all of the tips. I really enjoy working and learning more about the Vsport and I don't bleed as a regular maintenance so I will look into that and the reservoir for self bleeding. I have Trifecta for now just been waiting for my warranty to expire before switching tunes though because I don't know how easy or difficult it is to put it back on the stock tune with Schmidty. But I currently have the bov in full recirculation. I notice that there is a rough idle when I use Walmart gas, Not sure if they have worse gas quality over other places.

    • @v-sport1
      @v-sport1 Рік тому

      @@ebon18cole very welcome fam!!! I love seeing more people getting into the CTS V-Sport & ATS-V. They genuinely are Cadillacs greatest pound for pound cars in terms of cost & power capabilities. Yeah, this platform is really dependent on good fueling. The better the fuel, the better the car runs & the better your performance results will be . In the very least they need good 93 premium gas. I feel bad for those in states that don’t have access to 93 octane and are forced to run watery 91 octane. Ultimately getting the car on E85 is the absolute best thing though. I run an E85 mix with Amoco 93 octane or Shell 93, and am lucky to have easy access to the E85. I once ran the trifecta tune years and years back, it’s mediocrity is actually what made me find Schmidty and bring him to the V-Sport world, so that this platform could actually get real full-on performance tuning. Biggest benefit though besides being insanely faster- is that Justin monitors the health of your car anytime you want, and provides unlimited tuning files. Track tunes, street tunes, new mod tunes etc… think I have around 100 files from Schmidty haha. When ever you make that move to bring your V-Sport to life with Justin, just need the “trifecta” OBDII cable and your stock OEM tune file. Once you re-flash your car back to stock, then Schmidty can start tuning your V-Sport into a beast!! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving my man!

Based on my research on it, the only way your blow off valve can be too soft is if your car struggles and stutters on idle.
