FE Review - Fluid Mechanics - Static Pressure on Submerged Surfaces
Переглядів 13410 місяців тому
A submerged static object is subject to hydrostatic pressure acting on the various surfaces defining the boundary of the object. The resultant of these static pressures is the buoyancy force acting on the object. Archimede's principle on buoyancy may be stated as: 1) The buoyant force on a submerged object is equal to the weight of the displaced fluid. 2) An object in neutral equilibrium (float...

Really good explanation , thank you But which method is more accurate ?
simpson's, since it takes the curve into consideration.
Great explanation but kinda confused whether it should be even or odd intervals for simpsons rule. My reference manual says it has to be even.Could you clarify this
same, my source also says odd num of offsets. but this vid and chatgpt say it should be odd num of intervals
okay, now chatgpt says it should actually be odd number of offsets
@@NathanielGuarteOgario Actually I got a clear answer on this. There're two different things we think similar but actually different here: one is intervals, other is no of data points. Pay attention to whether they are referring based off of no of intervals or no of data points. For n no of data points, there's n-1 intervals. Hope this is helpful
@@MtEverest_Hotspur oh yes, what i meant about offsets are the data points. so i also meant that my reference manual says the number of intervals should be even, like yours.. i'm sorry if I caused some confusion. my reference manual uses the term offsets that's why i used that term
@@MtEverest_Hotspur btw do you still use even intervals?
Great job
Thank you so much You are amazing!
@@MaxAllocaTed Thank you 😊!
Thank you for the video. I found this when I was looking for when it is appropriate to consider nManning not as a constant but rather as a variable? There is this line on the graphical tool showing this but it is not clear when this should be used?
thank you! I spent days on trying to understand why I was wrong. It turned out they are wrong. Makes me feel better :)
I am glad it helped you! :)
ive been trying to understand why dy is 1.5. thank you so much
I am happy it helped you!
Thnaks great job
Thank you! :)
Thank you!
Thanks great job
This makes me feel better... I was perplexed why the book called d = 1.5 instead of d = 1.83.
really needed to know how these two work since I was absent at the time that this topic was discussed. Thanks a lot for a complete and detailed way to solve it.
I am glad it helped you!
thank you so much for your work, i was confused about capital improvement why take a negative sign when u want to change it to present worth
You are welcome! Keep up the good work!
Nice one! Very helpful!!!
THIS CONSIDERED THIN SHAFTS ... SO THAT CAN NOT APPLY t=4 mm t<= .1 r
Hi there. I did my undergrad in India and my masters in USA from a Abet accredited college. Do i still need to add my undergrad college and do the evaluation?
Hi! NCEES will evaluate your education based on the information you add on your account, so your goal is to add everything NCEES accepts, because your goal is to have all your classes taken into consideration.
Excellent!! Thank you!!
I am glad it's helpful!
Extremely helpful!!!
Thank you, so happy to hear that!
what happened to the negative sign before the K?
page not found shows if we click the link
Thanks for letting me know. Please email me at femadeeasy@gmail.com and I will send it out to you. Thank you!
I can't download that guides
I think your first friction factor should be 0.026 as the 0.0008 line curves upward where it intersects your Reynolds number.
Hi I studied in India with civil engineering btech degree. I have further 5 years of experience. Can I sit for the exam?
Hi there! If you are currently in USA, there are states which will allow you to sit for the exam without prior approval (check out this link: ncees.org/exams/fe-exam/). Eventually you will have to evaluate your education to receive the E.I.T. certificate.
Fantastic explanation! Really simplified this, thank you.
Thank you, I am glad it was helpful!
Hello; In this video, I liked some thing was explained about Zenith angle before you start with the examples, thanks.
Thanks! Good luck to you!
Hi, thanks for the information. The link to free evaluation guide is broken. Could you please share the updated one?
Thanks for letting me know, I have to look into it. In the meantime, email me at femadeeasy@gmail.com with the request and I will send the guide directly to you. 😉
Slope = rise over run. which is H/X not H/900. Can you elaborate on why you have taken slope as H/900
I think something is wrong with the illustration.
on step 2 where we are adding our education, what should we do if the institution name is not found
hi the attached link is not working when you tried to open the link it says page not found
Hi there, I fixed the link: tatianaharuta.newzenler.com/f/credential-evaluation-guide It should work now.
why did you calculate the r= 0.178 for the metal disk question? isn't it just the radius which is (0.14m) as stated in the FE handbook?
why did you determine tension as T1 and T2 on single pully while you determined all tensions as T on double pully?
Omg this concept have been so confusing the past several months now i understand. Thank you!
I think the moment diagram should have been drawn on the negative x-axis.
Is this related to FE civil?
Yes, this is for FE Civil.
@@femadeeasy thank you. I appreciate you for sharing the videos.
If you take the areas as separate and calculate them, then you will be able to get 138.4
Are these videos related to the FE civil section or have they been randomly chosen?
These are FE Civil examples.
Are these questions related to FE civil?
Yes, these are all FE Civil prep questions.
really thorough explanation
Thanks, glad you liked it
Awesome
Thanks!
please, solve practices about Environmental Engineering topic in FE Civil Engineering
Hey, I am working on a personal project at the moment and can't keep up with posting every week. I am hoping to get back soon.
Why can't Present Worth be used for both problems? Even if the life span is different doesn't the equation already factor that in because your n is changing?
For the 2nd problem, was something supposed to be done with the er and etheta?
Is this related to FE civil
Can this problem be solved using the energy equation?
Why is log delta p written as a division instead of a substraction?
For the earthwork problem you solved with Trapezoidal Area, how did you know to use that instead of end area formulas to get volume?
For the second problem, if I used just the area of station 20 and 24, I would get around 7666. I'm wondering to what extent we should be in detail regarding averaging?
You explained it so well thank you!!
Thanks
I learned a lot from you and I always follow your videos. I live in Iran. I want to take the FE exam. If I pass the exam, I want to apply for the California board. One of the conditions of this state is as follows: NOTE: ''Neither U.S. Citizenship nor California residency is required; however, disclosure of your Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number is mandatory. Your application will not be processed without it. Additional information is located on the Information Collection, Access and Disclosure page.'' Can I get this degree without being in the United States of America? Thank you for taking the time to answer me
Hi there my special friend. Thank you for watching my videos. You made my day with every comment so thank you for that. I read your question a few times, days in a row because I wanted to make sure I understand it. From what you told me you are interested in taking the FE exam somewhere outside of USA, correct? If that is the case, I made a video showing the NCEES page with all the countries they accommodate people interested to take this exam, have you seen it? If not here is the link to that video: ua-cam.com/video/a-LcNChhKHk/v-deo.html If I misunderstood your question, please reply back or you can reach me at femadeeasy@gmail.com. Thanks again for your support.
Hey, I just noticed this is the video I suggested, so you have seen it. Send me an email at femadeeasy.com, maybe I can set up a zoom call with you, it might be easier. Talk to you soon😉!
Thanks, I confused too so why I am here. I did what you did but am not sure too.
Hi, this is one of those problems where you have to apply a few formulas to get to the correct answer and this is what we did. I've seen publications with mistakes like this one and they correct them later. Just trust what you know!
