2022 F150 Center Console Swap
A run through of how I installed a center console in my regular cab f150. Center console pulled out of a crew cab. This installation covers item numbers and procedures for an f150 with an 8” screen. Slightly different parts and part numbers for anyone with a 12” screen. Install should be very similar. Enjoy

Hope this helps anyone looking to install a ridetech kit on their 21-22 F150. This is the way I did it. There might be better ways but this worked for me. I added a few tips and pointers. Make sure you follow instructions for correct procedure and torque specs. 2022 F150 XLT 5.0 RWD V8 in a stone gray color. Reach out to me with any questions

Did you have any problems reaching the upper control arms to torque them once the wheels were on and it was at ride height?
I jacked up the front of the truck from the lower ball joints with the wheels off. You have plenty of access with the wheels off
@@brokedownfixedup that's probably how we'll do it but I was hesitant because I wanted to make sure the angle of the UCA is close to being correct.
@@rendiewmit86it’s about as close as you could get it prior to going to the alignment shop. The weight of the truck will be on it.
If I remember right, I had taken out the passenger front seat to install the consul. When I reinstalled the front seat, I did not have the plug underneath the seat in all the way. I believe the little latch wasn’t down all the way, and that was causing the airbag light to come on. Good luck.
Parts list and links please?
What did you do with the seat belt warning?
Excellent video... Helped me out. I appreciate you taking the time to do this
Will this console fit in my 2016?
seat belt can be removed with a paper clip small hole in the back
Great job, and very well done .. however, I want to get the wiring harness on the center console to work/connect and have them plugs function .. but the original plug is different from the center console wiring harness .. is there a connector or a suitable solution to this ? Been searching the f-150 forums but it doesn’t seem anyone have a solution for the year model 21+
Would you know if this fits on a 2024 single cab f150?
What kind of grease did you use for upper control arms ?
Does anyone know if a 2024 bolts in with the same parts? I don't see why it shouldn't but who knows. Also, any idea on part number for the 12" screen vs the 8"?
yes it does, every single interior piece is the exact same. even the tail lights fit in the 21-23 from the 24. they’re the same truck just with a face lift
Great video! Thanks for all the pointers. Considering getting one but feel like the gimmicky folding gear selector feels cheap and would rather have the column shift like yours. Truck looks awesome as well!!
I just did this mod and have a center seat belt warning light. Did you have this and how did you turn it off?
What part did you buy to relocate all the climate control pieces?
Where could I get those bump stops at?
Why do you buy the F150 XLT Regular Cab and not the XL?
How much did that lower the truck is it under 6ft?
No more RCSB XLT :(
Any issues with creaks mine is making noise
The front hangers needed to be tightened down a bit tighter than what is recommended. That pretty much got rid of my creaks. Here and there I’ll get one but nothing annoying
after the swap, when you started your truck did any warning lights come on? I just removed my jumpsuit and after starting the truck the airbag light came on?
No airbag light for me. No lights at all
did you ever get a fix? just did the swap and i also have an air bag light
Sorry if I missed it but what is part number for the center console itself?
You said you got a 4.5-inch drop on the rear. If I only wanted about a 3.5-inch drop, I'd use the Ridetech shackles..?
Yes you’d use the ridetech shackles at their heights setting. Which would be the shortest hole on the shackle
Has that rear shackle been scrubbing ??😮 EDIT: Or was that just from you working on it? Did you have any driveline vibrations? I occasionally use my truck for hauling flooring, carpet , wood ect.... I see you said there was 3 1/2 inchs between th3 bumpstop now.. Any idea how much it squats with a load on it? EDIT 2: As Im watching the entire video , you didnt have a jack under that lower comtrol arm when you took the upper ball joint loose? Final Edit, lol How much adjustment is on the front.. 2 -4 inch drop?
I bet you don't have that seat anymore!!
Great video keep them coming ..
How does it ride ?? Did the ride quality change?
Rides a lot better than stock that’s for sure. It’s comfortable and sportier
@@brokedownfixedup hell yeah Thanks for the feedback
A little unrelated, but what bed cover do you have here?
Looks good.. but how does it ride.?
Rides nice. Much better than stock. I installed rear helper bags
@@brokedownfixedup appreciate the feedback. My nephew just got the fp700 package, he said the body roll was terrible!!
What year did the center console come from?
Awesome video and thank you for this upload. Currently ready to put this kit in our 2023 scsb just like yours, but very confused on the rear shackles. I thought I wanted to use the provided adjustable ones, but use the highest holes to make her as low as possible, assuming it would be to low then? How did your pinion angle come out afterwards with this setup? That rear shackle has everything to do with the pinion angle for sure.
I chose to use the factory shackles because it was the ride height I was looking for and prefer to use factory parts as often as I can. I’d use the ridetech ones if I wanted a different ride height. I have not had any pinion angle issues
Do you still have the console/seat you took out. That's what I am looking for and it looks like the right color.
I have a brand new one out of a '24. I'm in the DFW area.
Pingle angle
I wonder about this as well, its one of the things never mentioned.
Was the center console lighter than the jump seat?
15:44 nice cut lmao
Thank you for making this video really helped me out
That looks like a million bucks. Fantastic job and wonderful idea.
Does a 2015 through 23 console fit in a 2021 Ford F150? Im trying to do the same, but not spending $1,700.
Nice job
anyone knows how much it cost to do those center console swaps?
Is there a coil spring conversion from leaf springs available? Seems like it might be easier and better in the long run
Do you still have your old jump seat console? I am looking for one
I have a brand new one out of a '24. I'm in the DFW area.
Your video was really helpful man, thanks
Great video. Just ordered same Ridetech kit for my 2021 RCSB. Black Friday sale saved 20%. 😅
I'm curious why you kept the stock shackles when the RideTech has adjustment holes that basically line up with the factory shackle height? Wondering if I'm missing some benefit I'm not thinking of...
I prefer using factory parts if possible. If I didn’t like the ride height I’d use the ridetech shackles
Very good video on the install. I use to make videos a while back on the charger I use to have. Just recently bought a 23 F150 5.0 that I will be doing a build on so it is good to see quality install videos out there
Did you have the middle seat belt light come on after the swap? I am having this issue.
I did not have any seat belt lights.
What is the length on the mounting bolts you were talking about . I got M6 1.0 ?
I believe I chose 25mm length. Coulda gone shorter
@@brokedownfixedup thank you! I just purchased a center console! I will be installing soon.
You’re going to love it
Looks good I am wanting to do this to mine, I’m curious about the rear ac vents if there is a way to tie them in.
I’m sure there’s an internal ducting the crew cabs have under the console. I never looked into it as I don’t see it being necessary to have rear vents
5.0 all the way.👍
Awesome vid, any updates for the ride quality? I have read that some have had pinion angle problems and bed shaking on similar drop kits. So far this one looks like the best bet.
