The Power of Resilience: WINning with Auburn Special Teams Coordinator Chad Lunsford
When I first met Coach Chad Lunsford, his passion was undeniable. He was talking about igniting a fire in his special teams players, saying they needed to ‘light a fire in their bellies’ when they hit the field. This was a coach I wanted to know better - and introduce to all of you! Because no matter the field we play on, isn’t that how we all should enter the game?
Coach Lunsford, the newly appointed Special Teams Coordinator at Auburn University, joins me on Episode 74 of The Paige Kornblue Show to take us behind the scenes of his impressive coaching philosophy and career. He shares insights from his time as head coach at Georgia Southern and his leadership at Florida Atlantic University. We dive into some of his most rewarding and challenging moments, discuss the importance of building strong relationships with players while navigating the changing landscape of college football and talk about parenthood, resilience, and leadership with Coach Lunsford offering powerful life lessons all centered around the three letters W-I-N. Let’s go!

Bill Walton-isms. So many from just one morning with the basketball legend who spoke at the YMCA of South Palm Beach County in March of 2022. Tripped across this when I was reading about my Michigan Wolverines. This young lady is not only stunningly beautiful, but she really does a great interview as well. Very prepared and questions are asked in a very organized manner and she actually lets him answer without always interrupting like some podcast. I hope her podcast continues to grow in the future.

It was hilarious to watch the Louisville fanbase dismiss May after watching an hour-long film breakdown by Louisville commentators discussing how great he is the day before he joined Michigan. May wanted to join an elite brand, an elite university, and an elite conference. Louisville is none of those things. Go Blue! Dusty May proved he makes the right decisions.

Are you deadass bro?😭😭the BIG10 is the WORST power 5/6 conference when it comes to basketball, the BIG10 hasn’t won’t a national championship in basketball since 2000😭Louisville has a richer history, they’re in a better conference. (4 ACC teams are in the final 4) the BIG10 is a joke of a conference when it comes to basketball 🤣

@@Dannyj0534that’s not for lack of trying. the conference just gotten extremely unlucky with some years on potential natty runs. Michigan carried the Big Ten for years. Idk if getting in 8-9 big ten teams every year is “the worst power 5/6 conference.” Seems pretty deep to me. Teams just don’t know how to win in March, which is irritating as hell.

I’m reading a post here where someone says history will remember Jimmy fondly from his US Open run in 1991…to this day, I still believe that was the most amazing sporting event I’ve ever seen! However, history does Jimbo a disservice especially since people today only view greatness in terms of slam wins. The guy was banned from playing Roland Garros for five years during his prime and always skipped Australia because back then it wasn’t viewed at the level of other slams. The guy skipped or was forced to miss 15 slams where he undoubtedly would have been the favorite or at worst #2. NONE of this is ever mentioned when people discuss the history of tennis

Don't think Bill Riordan did young Connors career any favours. That brashness and attitude was fostered by Riordan, and the lawsuits alienated a lot of people, tennis administrators and players alike. Missing the French Open etc were situations that could have been avoided, and I'm sure wd have been avoided with another manager, and in the end only hurt Connors, nobody else.
