I started cubing a year ago and just recently went up to 4x4💀 And i hae similar times to all of yours (besides 5x5 and pyraminx because i dont have those)

5x5 is less stressful even tho there's more centers and edges i think it's less stressful because you don't have to think about the color scheme as much and you dont need to worry about oll and pll parity. pyraminx is really easy puzzle probably the easiest puzzle.

pretty similar to me, just so you are ready for it the improvement will slow down no matter how much you practice i got to sub 20 in 3 months and sub 15 in <5 and then was burnt out af so i took a break from may til august and now im back to improving but yeah just dont get discouraged if your improvment starts to slow down if you feel burnt out try not to stop completely just switch to a cube you havent practiced much

for sure, cup stacking is actually my main thing hahaha but i have been enjoying cubing nonetheless. cubing is a thing where i am unsure if i want to make it a really serious hobby, but at the same time it's like if you do something, might as well improve on it

thank you! lol it took me 40 minutes to learn how to solve a square one and i still can't solve it without referencing any algs. i do have a g4 and it's because i cup stack more than i do cubing so as a result i have invested way more in cup stacking lol. i will probably never touch a gen 5 timer because it is a very controversial launch with cup stackers alike

although i was just weird and focused too much on 3x3, your progression on those cubes are impressive. i started cubing last august and i averaged 13 seconds on 3x3 around december, 5 seconds on 2x2, and not so good times on some bigger cubes. now, i quit cubing for most of 2023 and recently got into it 3 months ago. i now average 10 seconds on 3x3

@@jasonh2327 Yeah before I taught him bigger cubes like 4x4 I tried to teach him how to solve a megaminx but it didn’t really stick so I tried teaching him 4x4 and he got it right away (even though megaminx is easier).
