At 19:20, when you draw an event during rummage, you resolve the event then you redraw the rummage (you didn't redraw). Also, you skipped the haint turn after.

The bird player should have lost this easily because he placed bunny card in battle, cat player could simply pull back and instant turmoil him, gaining quite a lead. Meanwhile the bird player cheated by building 4 roosts in 2 clearings LOL, which is a HUGE advantage. Come on dudes. Thanks for the video anyways but learn the rules first !! I do love root, its such a great game, I just got it last week and have been playing it. Cat player should generally also prioritize recruiters and sawmills in a 1v1, not workshops like this cat player did.

10:40 why would you put that card in battle?! The cat player can just pull from the 2 bunny clearings and then you turmoil next round.. Putting that bunny card under move or build both would be really great...

I’ve heard the hirelings related expansions vastly improve two player root :) Great video!

This is a very difficult scenario for level 1 players. If/when you try again, plan for the spawn pattern in advance and position your players to be in position the round before hand. Assignments should be made, strongest damage dealers on the Elite ones.

You guys should use your Round Marker to track which Round the Scenario is on.

When I played this scenario in my Campaign I actually played it twice, and killed both of the Bosses (and unlocked both Characters).

Good game you did make a lot of mistakes when the black riders engages you because of a failed hide test they are dealt a shadow card some key ones to fix moving forward are when you play the top card of your deck with gandalf he only gets the resource icon when he plays that card after he plays that card he no longer has that resource icon, and when a shadow card says engage the next player and make a attack it is also dealt a shadow card it might be best that you do not hand out the encounter cards to each player at the beginning of the quest phase instead you should each pick one from the top of the encounter deck when it is there turn to reveal because when you were doing hide tests you should have discarded the cards that had been handed out to the players.

Why did the Tinkerer 4 actions in turn 1? 1) move+door, 2) move+move, 3) move+pickup loot, 4) move+pickup loot?

Power leak's poison is mandatory. Even if you cannot add target, you must poison yourself because all fast effects are mandayand cannot be skipped

Well that ending was... abrupt

in the 2nd round there is a priest wth a move then heal, that's an unintuitive part of rulebook - the monster targets on the enemy according to melee rules, through the least negative tiles, using the least movement points- i suppose it would be the city guard(same distance as the Boneshaper's skeleton ally, 1 tile difference, but moving to CG costs 1 movement point and to the BS 2 movement points as it's a difficult terrain between them). After the move the priest tries to heal targets within a range, if it cannot find any, no heal is performed, even though before the move he could heal 2 allies. very unintuitive(probably form of balancing the game ). Later, around 54:00 there was movement of archers and them hitting your party, the one from the left(top of the movie) moved to the doors but you didn't make his shot, he would, city guard and blinkblade were both in the range of 2, he would attakc quicker - so the blinkblade(elite and normal archer aim at blinkblade, 1 normal archer aims at the city guardd behind doors)

Ran prime, 2 sentinels, mystique, and black widow. Opponent went xmen. Got an early daze on storm, and held back with my small characters. Later in the match, I used my smalls to score 8 points in the final round for the win. Was definitely leading towards me eventually tabling them.

Jugg is tough as nails. Probably less stressful if you deal damage to the bottom of your deck tho.

Good game when you use the cave torch after you exhaust it discard the top card of the encounter deck if that card is an enemy add it to the staging area. When you were using it you were revealing and putting the card into the staging area even if it was not an enemy.

Good game in these two quests you have to shuffle Mendor in to the encounter deck at the start of the game

Great gameplay. When you max out the Shaman element. you have to flip the element token and move it back to the bottom to get the bonus.

Great Playthrough. i love the hero classes. shame about the non spawn error of the mobs

Mulligan in this game is shuffle in all your cards in hand and draw six new ones. And that hand you have to play with. And shadow cards are dealt to the enemy with highest threat first.

Good game when you take a mulligan you have to shuffle the 6 cards back into your deck. Do you have the Dark of Mirkwood Scenario pack if you do not you should get and continue playing this campaign into it.

I was actually considering buying this game on Amazon!!! Now I’ll get to watch how it goes
