I did the thing you're not supposed to do- shoot old expired Kodachrome 8mm and have it processed.
Found film- Severely deteriorated Kodachrome 8mm.

Processed by Film Rescue International- this is about as bad as 'visible images' can get.
Mini DV- Tape Five

I shot a part of my senior project on this tape (which I have not included), which is why this one runs a bit shorter than usual.

Technicolor Mark Ten camera test- started in 2019, then resumed and finished in 2021, and then I lost the drive with this scan for another two years.

Another Ektachrome 160 I had processed by Film Rescue International- and it's one of the longest rolls I've gotten back.

This is why i wouldn't try my luck. The results seem to be all over the place. At $30 for processing, any roll that comes in a camera becomes a test roll.
How beautiful! Am I the only one who thought that? Who can develop Kodachrome like this?
Kodachrome is notorious for deteriorating (see some of my other videos). BUT... if you're willing to pay a pretty penny to have one developed and you're willing to take the risk Film Rescue International is the only lab I know of that will accept Kodachrome.
You say it's a test, but it's also a state of no-mind. This is what Buddhism calls liberation.
Why the split screen? Its not like you were using their 3D format.
so... this is what happens when you run double perf 16mm through a double 8 camera and have it scanned like it's regular 16.
@@jakewestbrook3214 OK. Their 3D format put the different images next to each other on the 1.33 X 1frame and a demo film just was issued on a Blu-ray 3D compilation that showed off the format. Those pieces are not cheap.
Love it!! What was the film?
this was ORWO UN54.
@@jakewestbrook3214 First time to know about it.. Thank you!,
Very artistic! I did not think 8mm would have this beautiful look!
AWESOME!😄
It feels good to be out of this world!
I get the sitting on it for awhile concept. I have footy I shot in August I haven’t sent out yet. 😶
Oh, that's a cool American camera.
Hello. What kind of camera are you shooting with?
this was shot on a Keystone Capri K28
That's a pretty great result, given all the variables. Nice!
Amazing stuff. I have a cartridge of Ectachrome that was in a cameras from the 90s, I finished off the roll a couple of years back and then haven't had it processed. I should send off to these guys!
