In the official novelization of the third film, apparently, Alice killed her under the control of Umbrella. Not sure why they didn’t even make anyone casually mention what happened to her cause it didn’t really make sense unless you read the novelization. If I recall correctly, they don’t mention too why Alice was separated from the group lol
