Just my opinion, but I'm not a fan of the new style of the super close infantry formation strips, I guess from 3 feet away they will look just fine. Or if I view them only as a game piece, similar to the game of risk, where a single soldier is a more abstract representation. It's just not for me at the moment, I guess it helps speed up painting big armies, so that is a plus 👍. I am a fan of the other epic ranges from Warlord, so it's not all negative.

I'll probably buy the book but use Cromarty forge 13.5mm Epic Scale miniatures. The Plastic Soldier Company, PSC is selling box sets or buy the STL files for printing if you have a 3D printer. Cromarty forge will have the files available over the next few weeks. Note: the files for this period are already available at 10 and 15mm.

This Epic Battles series by Warlord Games looks pretty damn cool. You can imagine all sorts of wars and campaigns throughout history possibly being made into a big boxed set in the future by the company. It would be awesome to see Crusades, War of the Roses, Alexandrian Conquest, and who knows what else made into Epic Battles sets one day.

Masking the tabs before priming might help with the fit. The dry fit of the unpainted strips of infantry feel fine. But these looks good and ready for the tabletop.

Not that I am an expert but the only thing I can see wrong with the AB figures is the length of the bayonets. At virtually the same size as the figure's leg, these are far too long. A bayonet the same length as the distance between the foot and the knee would appear to be more appropriate. Swords tend to be closer to the length of a human leg than a bayonet. [Yes, I know certain British units had 'sword' bayonets but these were for the Baker rifle - the majority of Line units were armed with the popularly named 'Brown Bess'] . Nevertheless, 'gold standard' as you say.

I loved that book! It was one of the first books I bought for my self. It is the one that I have lost over the years too :( Ya the close combat art was World Eaters vs Squats (space dwarves)

But since they use the Warlord 13mm miniatures the size are different. Your video saved me the hassle of getting models that wouldn't fit with the other minis! Thanks mate for the video

So im not really hip to the lore of it all. But its my understanding that the old world had a Ragnarok like incident and pretty much ended... Now they've brought it back? So what is the in universe explanation of this, how the world just magically began again? LOL Did GW basically just say, CYKE!!! and just not even explain how the hell a whole universe returned to being?

I remember when those games came out the first time as a teen. No one could paint that well back then except the staff at the store and even then they had all day sitting around in the shop M-Th when there were few customers to get it done. Well done Lord Roblox. Keep it up!

Lord Roblox really did justice to the figures! Really gives a creepy feeling of how human but alien at the same time. Usually we see the Space Hulk genestealers in purple skin, but these with the human-like, and the claustrophobic nature of the game, tense-ness increase bro! His termies are really well painted! Finally... ARMY PAINTER RULES!

Cool looking army. I just finished the "A" variant of this army. But the figures supplied by Essex feel a bit to late for this army that goes to the XIV century- yet has knights in full plate armour.
