Race Wars 2020 at Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX. I have never taken the Velo on the drag strip or even made a pass on a drag strip but I decided to try it out and see what I could do. Gutted FBO/Tuned VT vs Big Turbo MS3 (FBO, CST4 Turbo, 93 tune) 30 roll. Speed3 was over boosting after 6300 RPM so he wasn’t able to use all his power band. Follow me on Instagram @velo_drewskie

I have only run some V6 muscle cars.. although I don't agree to call them that... The V6 Mustang and V6 Camaro in my 2016 Turbo Veloster.. I agree, I do think most underestimate this car. I don't know all the mods, as I got the car used about 2 months ago.. But I have a Cone Filter, the Hotside intercooler pipe mod, (replaced the baffle with strait pipe) and from cat back is strait piped.. all done by previous owner, except the air filter.
Motor mount and 2nd cat delete on ur car will impress you

Good race. I advise you to use the launch of the Veloster... press the brake and accelerator pedal a bit in the 1,900 and 2,000 rpm range

Dear Hyundai Veloster N Division, I hope you are reading this. Here are some Cons I would like to address. 1.) There’s an excessive glare on front windshield. 2.) Cabin noise from road. 3.) Please add heated seats and heated steering wheel. 4.) If heated seats can be added, why not add ventilated seats, global warming is increasing the temperature and it’s very hot/humid during summer. 5.) Plastic interior feels and look cheap for a $34K car. I hope the 2022 model addresses these Cons, if not I will go for Mazda 3 Turbo hatchback instead.

How is the ride quality? Is it jarring? Can you feel bumpy road and road noise? Quiet inside?
Actually it’s pretty stiff in N mode but in comfort mode it’s great.

That is a good question. It’s FWD so it’s decent as long as you have winter tires on it.
The Pzero's are too slick and stiff for snow. Get some 245 winter tires and decrease the air pressure.
The exhaust is very loud!

@@veloguy6633 I’m looking at purchasing a 2022 Veloster N DCT. Waiting for it to arrive at the dealer. Haven’t even test driven one. I’ve heard a lot of great things about it. You said in the video “it’s not like the fastest car in the world” which is absolutely true and I know what you were getting at there. However, does it feel pretty preppy or is not very capable? I’m not looking for the fastest street car out there or anything but I am looking for something quick and fun to drive.
Love all N line cars but the new 21 veloster dct needs a sunroof, heated seats and steering wheel and d style steering wheel for that fucking price
Here in Canada, mine came with heated seats and steering wheel. Don’t mind the lack of sunroof to be honest. “D” shaped steering wheel, meh.
For $34k, you want all that? Let us know another manufacturer that offers VN DCT performance with everything you’re asking for. Lol.

I am Grin N ing from ear to ear driving mine. I got the Chalk White one. My friend has the 19 N and he is hitting the rev limiter trying to keep up with me and I am not driving that aggressively.
