Barton Aerodrome in Eccles, excellent nerding spot.
5 years, 45k views and one comment with one word in it! Surely the beautiful JetRanger deserves more praise :) Seriously though, did the team that designed it believe in their wildest dreams that it would be so successful and that nearly 60 years later, it would still (to me at least) be the totally defining helicopter shape and still not look at all old fashioned? The sound, the look.... just amazing.
They are a very pretty aircraft. I don't know if the 222 takes the prize as most beautiful Bell chopper though.

That's a very good question! After looking at several pictures of other H120's the front of the skids connects to them so shock dampers perhaps
I hope to take a ride in one very soon. If I hit the lottery, I'm buying one!
Having flown the R22 R44 and the Jet Ranger, I know which one I prefer. I always laughed when in the R22 talking to the tower, they called it the chopper on a stick and made jest of us.
The
person flying the r22 is a bit of a hotshot... just sayin'..
