I feel ashamed that I have studied so many books except understanding Quran. I feel I have wasted my life and I pray Allah give me good health and life and help me to learn Arabic. Understand Quran and memorize Quran. I curse myself for not listening to my mother . My 2 lessons of this life - respect and listen to your parents and learn arabic to understand Quran.

there is a huge misconception that learning a new language is hard, it isn't at all. 54:17 "And We have certainly made the Quran easy to remember. So is there anyone who will be mindful?"
