Clem oh, wow..I feel for you.. so *with* you on that.. *ouch!!* reminds me of when one of our local *top 40 popular songs* radio station 'DJ's/hosts told a story about an experience she had: some time ago, after a very long and exhausting day, a friend called her and said they couldn't say why - but that she *really* should get a 'second wind' and meet them at a small club in the city..the radio show host, she said, 'no way,' because she was too tired..and she said she did try to find out *why* her friend was being so insistent.. but they stuck to not being able to say because there were people in their vicinity who would have made life difficult - if they told why... so, she ended the call with a *thanks but no thanks.* next day she finds out what all the fuss was about: *Prince* was making a surprise appearance at the club for a small and relatively private, living room style mini-concert!..and a few people were allowed to invite a few other people, even at the last minute..but they had to agree to not tell 'the why' of it all.. because they were trying to avoid large crowds showing up and mayhem... the DJ said that when she found out, the next day, why her friend had been so insistent, she said she nearly gave birth to full grown cows, lol!! that she was so upset, so inconsolable, hahaha!! and that she thought she'd never forgive herself! so...feel better?? lololol!! and no idea if *you* had/have an appreciation for Prince, if you *got* him..but for anyone who does and *did??* no way they wouldn't be at least kind of freaking out re: that story..which is one of a handful of experiences/situations that taught me to *always* think at least 3 times, before turning down a mystery invitation from someone i truly trust. 😮
