Hi Andy, as they're magnetic, we can never guarantee the magnetic strength because it all comes down to the quality/thickness of the metal the magnets are going on. Some cars have thicker panels than others. Some have thicker paint or vinyl wrap and some cars even have layers of panel filler from accident repairs. Hello, would this support a insta360 one r on the end of a selfie stick attached to a car?
Hi Evan, It would definitely support a 360, but the stick length depends on how much it can support. Tall loads have a different effect on mounts, whether it be magnetic or suction as the tend to effect the sheer force more than the pull force.

What units were used here for the tension testing?
Not tension testing, but shear force. To see how much pull strength is required to overcome the magnetic strength. Measured in kgf en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilogram-force
