Yeah that Brodie penalty we thought was unfair last year. It’s interesting to compare that penalty for Percat, good point to raise!

Thanks for your comment. Look, we never said we knew the ins and outs of the situation. In fact, we stated that you can never know exactly what is happening in any relationship. As for the team and Brodie. We have stated that Brodie brings a wealth of engineering understanding as well as his driving ability. That's not to say he is the sole reason for the team's success last year, but it is a strong contributing factor that can't be ignored. As for Brodie having something to do with the sale, I don't think he has anything to do with it. The situation is the mistreatment of Brodie, which lead to sponsors and team personal leaving. These are just some of the reasons that contribute to the potential Sale. Nobody is taking anything away from the team and the accomplishments they have achieved. They should be immensely proud of last year and the Bathurst victory with Davey. it's just unfortunate that the leader is allegedly the reason for the team's demise. We are here to discuss what has already been reported and give our opinion on the matter. That's all this is. If this isn't for you, thats okay, we appreciate that you took time to check in and comment.

From our point of view, the “leadership” of Barry had been visible from a number of sources. Seeing how he reacts during the broadcasts, the Erebus documentary and now the latest issue where he has bullied AVL, a journalist doing their job, it’s a pretty good indication of his leadership style. Brodie’s fault in all of this is not wanting to be apart of the team and after multiple examples of them letting drivers go, Erebus seemed to have changed their minds. This is straight after releasing Brown by the way. We all have our opinions and we welcome yours as it’s great for our channel. The reason we said maybe it’s not for you was in case you couldn’t move past what we actually were saying rather than what you thought we were saying and that is, the evidence laid out all points to Barry being the point of concern rather than Brodie so that’s why we have the opinions we have.

Brodie didn't know of Barry's reputation before he signed to drive with them? apparently it wasn't a problem till after he won the championship, he signed a contract, he's trying to get out of that contract, you have no clue what's behind it, it could be he has been offered a lot more than what he's contracted for at Erebus, it could be that Brodie has exploited a weakness in public perception for his own purpose, I don't know & you don't know it's pure speculation and that is all you are doing, speculating, what I'm saying is by doing so you are completely disrespecting Erebus and more specifically Betty who has invested a huge amount over many years and seems to be gaged by Brodies representatives on making any comment, just when she has finally achieve what many would consider an impossibility only to be cut off at the knees by one person who won't explain why, until Brodie is prepared to come clean and explain exactly why he has done what he has then public speculation as you have done here is both unreasonable and mis-leading which is why most major media sources have failed to go there, whatever you may say it won't influence my opinion.

We are not trying to influence your opinion, as you won’t influence ours. We agree that Betty has made huge investments into the sport and is a shining example of following your passions. We think you’re wrong on the Brodie assessment based on what we do know but there is a lot of unknowns and we have been pretty clear about which parts are speculation and which ones are not, including that without Brodie’s side of the issue we will never really know.

I would love to see another manufacturer racing, but they need to ensure all the processes are in place to accommodate them and make sure they are competitive. I still feel Supercars are 2 to 3 years away from being in a position to consider that.

Wear isn't so much the problem with the current tyres. The issue is that when pushed, they overheat and take an eternity to come back into the operational window. The idea off reducing the pressure at the start means that they should start in the operational window for a little longer, typically when in battle. I think it's time we look at changing the tyre out for one that doesn't have this tendency to improve the racing.

Yeah I remember hearing Brodie tested an alternative that was a Goodyear. I'm not sure brand swap is necessary just the characteristics of the tyre being changed might create better racing.

Chasing manufacturers is just silly. Improve the product so that the manufacturers come to you and want to sponsor/be involved in the category. The product isn't as far away as some believe, but it does still need some tweaking and refinement and time for the perception to change.

In recent times they are more of an agreement than a handshake. At the end of the day, if someone is no longer invested in the team, it's better for both parties if that person moves on.

It has been a trend since Erebus made the step into the category for sure.

The Erebus brand is irreparably damaged, add Bad Barry to the T&C of the sale & either nobody will touch it, or Ado will hopefully buy it & immediately fire Bad Barry or it goes cheap! So sad to see bad management!

I don't agree with the series being ahh "fucked". I actually think it's started to put the processes in place for it to rebuild the damage it had occurred. As for burning cash. It's not like you or I in this instance. The teams are a fully fledged business, whether it be engineering or otherwise. They may not run to maximize profit, but they do still need to be self sustainable. Something that Erebus isn't anymore.

Welcome back in that case. The story centres around Tahan not being welcome into the garages of which we dont know why. Reynolds didn't take the Sim racing stuff seriously, and the team were unhappy with that from reports. When they did go racing again the pace in the car and Reynolds wasn't where they expected. So it was probably a lot of little things that turned into a big thing. And they just agreed to split.

Nice reflection of the history that has been Erebus’s ups and downs. It’s tough to remain at the top for a long period of time and as it stands, they haven’t been able to back up their strong performances.

As I think Damo stated in one of the previous vids, the reason it is being raced on Saturday instead of Sunday was for Ramadan. Suits me, means I can get up and watch the whole thing Sunday.

This was part of my issue throughout the weekend. It would be terrible for the sport if it was just their setup and they were complaining about parity. It could also be just a dud engine. We are still waiting to hear the outcome of the investigation of the engines post the race. Lets see what comes from that before going to deep on either party (WAU or Supercars)

We never claim to be experts but for the first round with unknown quantities about the aero updates we had a crack. We would love to see your predictions for the next round to see how you might go!

Appreciate your comment. I was pretty clear that the only reason I said him was because it was his first main game outing and not due to skill level. Guess what, your assessment is right and it was the other rookie that had a terrible 1st outing. Again, this statement is not about their skill levels but more about how rookies settle into the main game which is a big step up from other racing.

I'm sure they will be, we would just like Brodie back on the grid and this mess swept up and thrown in the trash.

It was a different time and TC showed that having more decision making control meant the category could move forward. With the teams involved, they will always only vote in their own favour.

The changes in downforce and therefore corner speeds are really noticeable in those corners too!
