The campers returned and learned a lesson. The raccoons were rounded up and put into "rehabilitation" Jk I have no idea. They have been a problem at that park for years.

How long in the oven?
@teachmetruth3539 it depends on the fish. Usually 25-30 minutes or longer for big fish. I like them slightly over cooked vs under.
I'm gonna try it! The Mississippi is on my doorstep.
@johnsimon7867 bleed them and put them on ice. Don't mess with filleting at the rib cage. Smaller taste better than big ones. Treat it like seafood. Get the lucky stones from the head. I have a few drum cooking videos.
@tyleryoungandco Thanks man! My wife loves to fish and these seem to be on her hook every damn time. I've given them away and thrown most of them back, but thanks to your help I will now try to make one into food. I'll be back to follow up.
Heck, I've fileted drum served them with fileted brem/brim. Put them in a good seasoned cornbread breading and deep fry them - No one complained. Beautiful white flesh.

Nice video! Another good way to eat them is to boil in salted water for 3 mins. Served with butter, tastes like lobster, served with cocktail sauce, tastes like shrimp! An old Lake Michigan's guide recipe. It's a fooler...
It's good, I'm not sure why people hate on these fish. I made a sandwich out of some drum and it was amazing. Video will be coming soon.
@@tyleryoungandco Went on an Lake Erie charter (party boat) a few years back. Many drum were caught and thrown back: considered to be garbage. Wish I'd have know then. Probably could have gone home with 20-30 lbs. Remove the blood line and it's as good or better as many others. ~ Thanks again!

My mom would make us that. White bass, Bass, Crappies, sunnies and walleye are delicious cooked that way.

Always odd when that happens, I’ve had that happen three times in my 20+ years Ice fishing, love the surprise on the ice.
