Spin coming into turn 3 at Sebring as well as the prior lap. Not sure what happened.

My very first wheel to wheel race. I ran with FARA for the Memorial 300. Two wrecks, a crazy restart, and the sun in my eyes. It was an absolute blast!
NP01-EVO vs Ferrari at Sebring FARA Memorial 300

A great turn to turn battle with a Ferrari at Sebring during the FARA Memorial 300. We are different classes clearly but were the only ones left in our respective classes for the race so we raced and it was the most fun of the weekend!
FARA Sebring NP01-Evo vs M2 Last Lap Battle!

I got caught in traffic and made a mistake coming into 17 letting the M2 by me. We had a great battle for the last lap of the race as a result!
Suspension Failure at 120MPH!!

The left rear rocker stud gave up the ghost under braking just past Bishop's Bend at about 120mph. Entire left rear of the car slammed onto the ground. I'm glad I was going in a straight line and it didn't happen 5 seconds earlier!

Learning the ins and outs of the NP01-EVO, a new car to me. Making good progress following my friend and awesome driver Roger in the car ahead of me when I locked up the rears under heavy braking and turned her around. (Something is wrong with the speedometer readout, it's completely inaccurate)

First Track Weekend out with some new mods - thought I'd add to the UA-cam Library of S2000s on the Track! Enjoy. Best Lap is about half second faster than this - but video failed so it doesn't count! No commentary - Just engine wail and tire scream. New Part from @NAUS this weekend really helped with the heel-toe action. About the Car: 2006 S2000 (AP2) Naturally Aspirated Soft top, no aero, so...

It was an absolute blast, despite my admittedly mediocre driving.
What happened that all the cars pass you around the 3:15 mark?
That was an effed up restart. You can see the standing double yellow flag out of my right window just before the GT cars decided to take the restart. The other prototypes and I had no idea it was happening. We had never caught up to the pace car so we ended up out of position. I'm a low HP vehicle so I have no chance against the big GT guys coming into a straight at low speed. It was a change of underwear moment!
Nice driving. W2W is for sure adrenaline rush especially first time. How many NP01s in the race?
Just me! There were supposed to be 4 of us but due to some unfortunate and unforseen events for the other 3 I was the only one left. Started with 3 in class (FP3), me a radical and a ligier. The other two wrecked out.

Thanks for the compliment Lance, I've had 5 years of with the car at Sebring, and it took me a lot longer to get up to speed than you guys by a lot! I only shift down to second for T7, and the back of the car does skip a bit if I'm a touch early with it and I'm quite mindful of my brake pressure. In all the years the tendency has always been for the back to swing right so I take advantage of that in the right turn. It scared me a few times in the early years going into T3 so I'm leaving myself some extra space between me and the grass. Suspension adjustments, 2mm toe in each side at the rear, and 50/50 corner balance along with shocks set up to keep the nose from pitching and rear tires on the ground have helped a lot. I'm now running much more rear bias than I have been and wearing the rear brakes almost as quickly as the fronts.
After 5 years with the car what do you think of the platform? Is it as cost effective to run as they claim? This would be my first real race car. I starting karting a couple years back and now street/track cars seem boring. (in my price range that is.. lol) My street/track car is up for sale now and thinking this car might be the ticket.
hey .man we had a spin last time out verysimilar to yours - shifted from 4th to 3rd and then 2nd - looks like you had 2nd too... it should have rejected 2nd as it wasn't rev matched so locked rear axle and turned you around. ..strange how it didnt reject 2nd like it should have done... im learning car and out tomorrow again for 2nd day only at sebring hope to see you on track soon
That's a great observation. I thought I was just hard on the brakes but it did happen immediately after that shift down to second. I'll have to pull the data and talk with Ben about it
Great cars. I know the feeling with the spin but didn’t have the run off. Adjust your brake bias more to front. I would suggest getting the brake pressure sensors so you know exactly how much bias you have on front and rear.
Thanks! I have been working the bias forward progressively and after that spin think I have it dialed in. Also made some suspension adjustments to help with the bumpiness of Sebring. I have brake pressure sensors installed.
@@Driving42 Cool! Completely new driving experience from road car. Do you plan on racing ? Few of us in the Midwest race in the NASA series and looking to race in prototype series I think it’s PSSR.
Yes I plan on racing. I'm local to Florida so I'm unlikely to get out to the Midwest anytime soon but maybe one day. Going to try and start with NASA, I have a few friends who race there with these cars in Florida. We were looking at prototype series also.
@@Driving42 Sebring one of my favorite tracks. A lot of good tracks in Midwest. There will be at least 4-5 np01s racing at VIR in October in the PSSR race
