Thanks for the relaxing ride, it's prob 40 years since I rode a WD M20 and this film brought it all back to me, it was my mates bike, I rode his and he rode my WD G3, I recall it as a bike that wasn't going to be hurried but would prob go on forever.

Nice bike. I think the fork damper is screwed up too tight, on my '39 G14 you could see the headlamp jumping up and down relative to the bike, taking all of the road shocks out.

Βsa wdm20..the most beloved bike in Greece..ex dispatch rider that helped modified as a tricycle to rebuild the whole country after ww2.. the most reliable from all war machines bar the lighting system/ lucas prince of darkness..of course i have one bsa...over 30 years...iam still in love❤❤❤

Try and find an ancient interview in “Bike “ magazine by Royce Creasey (SP?) entitled “Cheapo Motorcycling “ from the early 70s. The cover is an airbrush painting of a Norten Comando sagging to the ground in a puddle of oil. My good mate James rode an M21 when I was still riding a BSA B175 Bantam. The bottom end of an M 20/21 (500cc/600cc) is the same as a DBD34. Ioved the shape of the engine. Avidly looking through the MCN every week I came across an M 33. ( it’s like a B 33 (ohv) but a 500 single with heavier fly wheels for sidecar use). NXY 688. My first big bike. Oh the adventures we had. M, B, and DBD series; great bikes. This video really brings it all back!

An old Lady of the road, carried dispatch riders during the war, then pulled sidecars for families and spares/tool boxes for the AA and RAC! A good old workhorse, greatly underestimated!

Nice ride, that mirror turned out to be an encumbrance, you did the right thing taking it off. I had a Royal Enfield which had similar mirrors, I ditched them and got bar end mirrors instead, much more effective.

In this video you was struggling with the 3rd gear. How did you solved that problem? I guess it was not solved by a new spark plug or?? Very nice vintage motorcycle. Hope I can find one like this with side valves. Sweet sound!!
