Drop Mania - full soundtrack
Hello, fellow Finns! Which of you guys know/still remember this game :D? Here’s a shortcut list to each track:
00:00 Title screen
02:43 Snow world - a.k.a. Level 1 in the sound files
04:12 Pirate bay - a.k.a. Level 4 in the sound files
05:40 Underwater theme - a.k.a. Level 2 in the sound files
07:04 Fanfare
09:11 Game Over/ End credits theme
As the title says, this is the complete soundtrack for the puzzle game called "Drop Mania". It is a somewhat tetris-esque puzzle game, where you fill the screen with coloured blocks and then try to destroy these formations before they reach the top of the screen.
Back in the 1999, Drop Mania was one of the PC games you could get from “Kotijäätelö” by buying their ice cream sets. In fact, Kotijäätelö was Finland’s original ice cream truck company. Their iconic theme song was -for better or worse- quite hard to miss. However, after 20 years of providing us with yummy ice cream, Kotijäätelö closed down for good in 2013 D': . There’s a new, similar company these days, but that logo of a smiling little ice cream truck still fills me with nostalgia…
As for these tracks, I apologize for not extending them any further. The sound files are there as they’re provided in the game’s own folders. And because of that, they do end quite abruptly here -_-;.
Interestingly enough, there are only levels 1, 2 & 4 in the sound files, but no level 3. Also, the pirate levels take place before the underwater ones, so it’s a bit of mystery as to why their numeral order is reversed in their file names.
Finally, here are the credits for the folks who made these songs:
Songs written & composed by Jonne Valtonen
Mixed by Timo Haanpää
Session musicians - vocals by: Timo Haanpää, Jonne Valtonen & Ulla Parviainen

Tarzan - Strangers Like Me (Finnish version, Dialogue & SFX -free)

Dialogin ...
Ringing Bell - Chirin no Suzu main theme (Japanese, no sound effects)

While there are multiple videos for the English theme, I didn't spot a single one that had the original Japanese song WITHOUT the wind sound effects from the beginning of the movie. Since the song is played again during the end credits, ripping it was a piece of cake. For those who haven't seen it, "Ringing Bell" or "Chirin no Suzu" is a rather short anime film (47 min) dating back to the year ...

Z.O.E. Anubis theme backwards
Переглядів 5 тис.13 років тому
I read from a Zone of Enders fansite that the title theme of the first Z.O.E. " the Origin" is actually a reversed part of "Flowing destiny" (=the usual ending theme of the first Z.O.E. unless you achieved the S rank). This turned out to be true. Thus, I decided to try and reverse both "anubis (impossible)" from the the first ZOE and "anubis theme" from the 2nd runner since they both have bits ...

NO CHIPMUNK SQUEALING!!! I really, really, REALLY should try this game someday :D (from what I've heard, Portal has some connection to the Half-life series and although I'm not interested in those games, I find the basic gameplay gimmick of Portal fascinating). Anyway, I decided to speed up this song just a bit to make it more energetic...or something. Enjoy ^^!

Oh propagators...Imagine my frustration when I finally found out the right way to beat these guys after killing *some* of them over and over and over again during the past two or three hours T_T;... Anyhoo, here's a speeded up version of the original song. It's fun but less threatening and maybe less fitting for the whole "survive in the monster infested spaceship" scene. Hmm...I really should ...

NO CHIPMUNK SQUEALING!!! Sounds way better than the original!! Considering that there really weren't any proper decepticon themed songs out there before this one ( unless you coun't that annoying "Destron song of praise"), I was really looking forward to hearing this song. But once I heard it, my first thought was " Is THIS supposed to be song dedicated to a bloodthirsty army of giant alien rob...
A voice like perfect velvet. It touches your heart. Music does not have a universal language, it is a work of emotion.🇹🇷😊
*Bambi:* We had the nerve to violently shoot the mother halfway through the movie, off screen! *Old Yeller:* HA! We made the main character put his best friend down after he got infected with rabies, off screen! *The Lion King:* O really, we had the father of the main character get violently murdered off screen then showed the body on screen! And to top it off the villain tricks the protagonist into believing that it was all his fault! *The Little Mermaid*:* Don't make me laugh, we had the nerve to have our beloved mermaid princess suffer from loneliness and an identity crisis by the unwavering wrathful prejudices of her father, and in his fury destroys everything she hold dear! Then we have her sell away her beautiful voice and suffer a disturbingly violent transformation just for chance to know freedom and happiness beyond the lonesome life she had known under the sea. *Never-ending Story: BHA! We had a horse get depression and have it slowly drown as the main character pleas with him to find happiness! *Secret of NIHM:* Hold up now in our story a mother mouse after losing her husband has to risk life and limb just to save her own family in an environment where everything is trying to kill them, and worse threaten by an aristocratic order of intelligent rats! Not to mention a cat that makes Jaws look cuddly by comparison. *Where the Red Fern Grows: Are you kidding me? Just as a poor family has their very first break through, we killed the main character's first dog with a cougar, off screen, and then we had the balls to have the other dog die from depression on screen! Leafie: A Hen Into the Wild: O please, in our tale a hen goes through hell and back just to survive and raise an orphaned duckling, which is made all the harder by a ruthless weasel who is also a mother trying to keep her won family alive. Thus, as a final sacrifice from on mother to another Leafie gives her life so that the weasel can continue to provide for her own! I ask you what can be more heart breaking than that? *The Land Before Time: LOL you all kidding me!?! We had the balls to not only kill of the main character's mom in brutal fashion on screen, but we also had him endure all the stages of depression in a post-apocalyptic environment! And that not mentioning the prejudices instill by their elders to distrust one another, and keeps our main character alone and isolated from compassion and companionship. *Watership Down: BEHA! Is that the best you all got? Killing mothers, drowning innocence, and depression is the worst things you can do? In our story we had the set to have our main characters flee into a violent and unpredictable world, just before construction completely obliterated it along with the hares that remained there. To make it harder they are under constant attack from anything that has fangs, claws, or of human origin, and just when they finally catch a break they are under siege by another warren that is lead by a murderous maniac bunny that wants complete and utter control. *Ringing Bell:* You are all adorable! We have the main character's mom violently murdered, and have that same child undergo depression and purse his mother's killer for revenge. Then after he mistakenly kills a bunch of baby birds, the main character is then raised by his mother's killer, only to then go back to his place of origin and in the midst of personal turmoil. The main character kills his mother's killer instead of the sheep whom he was asked to butcher, and in an act of kindness the entire herd rejects him as a sheep. Thus, the main character becomes exactly like his mother's killer and lives an isolated life until his inevitable death. In the awkward silence that follows all of them turn to a pair of films and a TV show that have been sitting quietly in the corner watching their bluster *And you are?* *The Animals of Farthing Wood, Felidae & The Plague Dogs:* We are you, but far more traumatic
Great

2:01 - 終 (The End)
4:29 Isn't that just the Monkey Island theme?!
It’s more like an homage. Similar enough to make the connection, but different enough so as not to be plagiarism.
Ihanaa nostalgiaa
What a cute little lamb! Hope nothing bad happens to him!
Turns out, terrible things happen to him. This is called Ringing Bell. Released in 1978 in Japan, called Chirin no Suzu, which translates to Chirin’s Bell, and 1983 in the USA, and based on a storybook of the same name, this anime follows a little lamb named of course, Chirin. One night, a wolf kills his mother, as the little lamb faces reality that his mother is dead. So, Chirin then seeks out the wolf and swears to kill HIM someday, just like the wolf killed his mother, while also learning from the wolf how to survive. In the end, both face down, with Chirin slaying his father figure nemesis, only to realize he had become the monster he set out to destroy. A morbid and dark ending. So you see, this just goes right from this happy children’s film, to a sad, dark, terrifying, terrible, tragic, horrific, horrifying, sick, twisted, demented, horrible movie. You should watch it to see what I mean.

I think they ought to have gotten a group like The Righteous Brothers or some other people with deep and soothing singing voices to sing this for the English dub. I think the problem with that one is that the voices aren't deep or chilling enough, that's one of the things that makes it that much better to me. Also the ending where those drums come in at 1:36 is the best part of the song to me.
If this was a Disney movie, it would be held as a masterpiece.
Damn right. Siskel and Ebert would've said Disney was returning to their roots while also being a bit modern at the same time XD
That's Bambia
That's Bambia
Don't ever mention that woke trash
No, if Disney had done it, there would be no point in revenge and it would have a happy ending instead of a sorrow ending.
So that's why it's called Chirin's Bell...
Maybe someone has some info about song author and performer? I've found two names: Taku Izumi and Sanro Shuppan. Not sure if it's correct.
A classic piece, I'm both happy and sad to have come across this masterpiece.
So calming and beautiful, i remember listening to this on repeat a few years ago. So glad i decided to revisit the movie again :]

Vedenalainen musa on neljäntenä, voittofanfaari viidentenä, merirosvobiisi kuudentena ja game over/lopputekstit viimeisenä.
Let's have fun accidentally perpetuating the cycle of violence! Life is wonderful!

im fucking insane now. 10/10
This is the version that plays during the ending, not in the opening scenes.
Well, I didn't any rams on the pasture in the movie (like, where's the daddy sheep?), perhaps the farmer culls/kills them all and Chirin running away actually saved him from slaughter? O.O
That's a good point tbh
Oh crap, you might be on to something !
Could someone please write the lyrics in Romanji, somewhere here in the comments section? 😁 That way, I'll be able to sing along! 😄
Lesson Learned: Never jugde a book by his cover.
Long before Dawn Bellwether, there was a lamb named Chirin, the earliest wolf in sheep's clothing.
Anyone know the name of the soundtrack when he decides not to kill the sheep?

This is more sad than bambi
It’s actually more similar to Revenge of the Sith because that scene with the mother bird is the equivalent of Mace Windu’s death.

@@raydgreenwald7788 and had a happy ending
Check out the sequel I made. ua-cam.com/video/S4PJrGBpY6w/v-deo.html
Young Chirin represents our happiness, the most innocent, which we could truly feel when we were young kids, unaware of how merciless and insidious life could be. Woe embodies all bitter hardship and countless battles we are forced to deal with, sooner or later. And with them, all of the sorrow and pain we must suffer. Initially, Chirin doesn't even think about Woe coming to the farm and murder his mother, just as we, in our early years, don't pay much attention to traumatic events of life untill they hit us full strength, destabilising our inner balance. The mountain represents the path we chose to walk to keep going on. That is hardening our hearts and count only on our own strength. The mountain transforms ourselves, both physically and mentally. And Chirin wilfully climbs it up. It's his choice, nobody is pushing him. Adult Chirin is what you might become going down this path. A strong fierce determined creature, not afraid of death itself nor any kind of challenges. Completely different from who you used to be. Sadly, I believe this process is inevitable. Time cannot heal every wounds. Some are so deep they'll leave a mark forever.
Chirin is truly what you call a tragic villain that lost everything, and he may even be a representation of the soldiers that went off to war during WWII, some never coming back and those that survived might have lost everything and have no more home left to go back to.
