I got the 77in Saturday and everything i throw at it looks amazing...games, movies whatever. QD OLED or die for now on...
Hahaha, I know right. It's amazing!
I was just about to buy one on Amazon until I read all of the one star reviews (which accounted for 14%).Lots of issues and terrible support. I'm suspecting that a lot of these YT reviews are shills..
Hi there, I understand what makes you think that by the reviews you read but my review is an accurate representation of what my experience was like. As you saw by the video I did have an issue I discussed but it dealt more with my TV being so new that it wasn't in their database. Now you could say that's still their issue but not because the device didn't work correctly. They in no way influenced what I said or showed in my video. There are a lot of options in the app and I can see where some might get a little confused but the device is a solid device. Personally I have not had a lot of time to actually use it because I left to go out of town a few days after making the video, so maybe when I use it more I'll run into some issues but at the point of this recording I felt it was a decent solution to consolidate multiple remotes. Thanks!
Bought it last week on Amazon (Black Friday deal) and love it so far. It now controls my LG C4, LG Soundbar, Apple TV 4K and Zidoo Z9X 8K media player. Love the activities and logos you can use.
@SteveMuller1976 that's awesome! It's definitely a great device, thanks for watching and commenting! Happy Thanksgiving if you are in the US!
@@GadgetguyzGadgets no worries. I'm from Sydney Australia 🦘
@@SteveMuller1976 oh nice, Australia is on our list of countries to visit!
Do they have ultra wideband yet?
Hi there and thank you for your question. At this point it des not appear that the UWB feature is still not active on the Google Find My Device network. I m currently using this device on my trip and will be making a follow up video. So far this is a solid tracker, so stay tuned for the update video. Thanks!
Do you know how long it takes for the keypad camera time to update when you change the time zone to the correct time zone?
Hi there and thanks for your question. I did not have to change any time zone settings when I set it up so I am not able to answer that question. That being said I would think that it would update pretty quickly. You might want to reach out to their support.
@GadgetguyzGadgets Thank you!
@@RocStone your welcome. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I purchased one of these devices last week to help track a certain piece of lawn equipment, should it come up missing (zero turn mower). Before attaching it to he mower, i decided to run a few tests, and wanted to point out a few things. The device works great if you get within about 100 feet of it, and have your location services on. It will update. Then, you can run your "find nearby" option to narrow it down. The problem is that if the tag gets further than about 100-120 feet, it may not ping. I ran a test. I turned off my location and dropped the tag off near a busy intersection for the evening. It only pinged on two occasions over a 10 hour period. Then, i kept my location off and had to drive about 50 miles on the expressway, driving next to and past several hundred other drivers. It never picked up a location off anyone's phone. When i got to my destination, i left it in my parked car for about 10 hours. Again, It was a very busy area...with lots of people driving and walking by. It only hit on two other samsung phones, that entire time. So, if you put the tag on something that ends up more than about 100 feet from a busy area, you may see no pings, or very few updates. I wish they could incorporate it to ping off of any a droid device, and not just samsung, with location on and within range.
I most.y watched this for the pairing but you kind of glossed over that 😢
Hey there and thanks for your comment. I apologize about that. The pairing was very smooth and fast and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.
I just ordered this tv. I’m gonna have to figure out how to raise my soundbar up since it sits in front of the tv. I feel like the tv stand is going to be in the way of the soundbar. Should be an easy fix though.
You're going to love this TV, it's been amazing. You're correct, there isn't much room between the bottom of the TV and the stand, I don't use a sound bar with this TV so hopefully you it won't be an issue. Hope you enjoy it when you get it!
U mention having NEST cameras outdoors also... So which is better or is better for outdoor 'wired' use?
Hello and thanks for watching and your comment. Honestly for a wired option I'd buy the MyQ over the nest in a minute, they're far less expensive and have performed flawlessly with just as good options. As far as a battery operated option I haven't used any battery camera other than the Nest. The only thing I wish is that you be able to add the MyQ devices to your Google Home to see it in with your other devices but they don't allow that for security reasons. I've been very happy with this camera.
How old is your garage door opener? I’ve been having issues lately where it won’t open the door. I punch in my code and I get the alert on my phone, but it won’t open the door.
Hi there and thanks for watching and your question. Mine is over a year old now and it's been working good, I've not had any issues. Sorry you are having issues.
Great insights, really interested in seeing your comparison of the moto tag and smart tag 2!
Glad you enjoyed it!
it's November, did it start working with UWB yet? Thx
Hi there. By what I can tell it doesn't appear so but I'm going to be doing some investigating and testing. Stay tuned! Thanks for your comment!
BTW I have no problem with there being a default experience in Android but still allowing hardware/software manufacturers to have a means to extend the functionality via companion apps. One bonus for the Moto Tag companion app, unlike many headphone companion apps, you don't need to create an account to use it.
@@Whitwolf1975 HI there and thanks for your comment! That's an excellent point and I agree that's a plus!
Mine sucks. I was an early adopter and was only getting about a week between charges. I even turned the angled backing plate around so it was facing the garage door so it wouldn’t get triggered so much by passing cars and it still stunk so I removed it. The app sucks too so I’m unable to delete the keypad from the app even after multiple calls to tech support. They should never have come to market without a hardwire option available. I have other myq cameras that I like a lot. Just watched a video on how to hack it to hardwire it - I might as well try since it’s a paperweight otherwise.
Did you see my other my reply to your other comment? Good news! I had a viewer on one of my other videos share this with me - geni.us/myqwiredpower They have an official hardware kit now that the cost of an extra battery!
Im in. If it can find the remote THAT is awesome! It is nice you don't have to keep up with 8 remote controls. Its all through one remote. Can it connect speakers connected to your TV too?
Hello and thank you for your comment. There are several types of speakers that it can support. I would imagine that if they have Bluetooth or wireless connectivity that you can control them to some degree. Their support was great so they can probably help you if needed. With the ability to use the API feature and use the IFTTT app, I think the possibilities are endless lol.
If you do decide to purchase one don't forget to use my discount code for 15% off! The link is in the description and I greatly appreciate the support!

пластиковая коробочка чтобы спрятать в неё другую пластиковую коробочку - это просто верх глупости! нужно ещё эту наружную коробочку поместить в мешочек из резины ))
Hahahaha, that's funny, thanks for watching and for commenting!
I sincerely do not understand the problem within the android community brands to just not wanting to create a universal usage tag. Why do you have to be too exclusive, not every samsung user is gonna get the tag, but every pixel owner will want to. Apple has their upper hand coz of their ecosystem being too strong to not be flexible at all. Android is everything against that, sure these brands can keep us making use their specific apps but at least make it more compatible with other devices. There are millions of androids out there in the world vs probably half a million iPhone. Even if half of each user wants a tag compatible for a user with a samsung tablet, a Mi phone & a car. That's still a heavenly load of money. I have S6 lite, its wifi only. I would love to get a tile for my car, laptop bag and tablet, so i can track them all with my pixel.
Hi there and thank you for your comment! I definitely agree with your statement about the fragmented state of the Android ecosystem. I think it's a byproduct of being open source from it's roots, which allowed a lot of companies to take Android and put their own spin on it. It would be great to create some sort of standardization. Thanks again for your comment!

Highly do not recommend showing your address and saying that you are going for a vacation in the same video. Don't see how UWB not being available yet makes this a bad device, it has the same diameter as airtag so can fit into very many accessories built for it, for example i am considering it because i want to put it on my bicycle, and it fits nicely into a bicycle bell, unlike other tags.
Hello and thanks for watching and commenting. That's obviously an oversight to leave the map visible as I don't typically do that even if I am not leaving, thanks for pointing that out. Regarding the Moto Tag, I never said it was a bad device I stated that it doesn't really separate itself from the competition since the UWB is not working. I also mentioned this is a Google issue not a Motorola issue. I actually believe this will end up being one of the better trackers available for Android that are not Samsung devices. I was hoping Google would get their act together and enable the feature lol. The bell idea is a creative way to use it, I would have never thought of that. That's the great thing about having options, there's something for everyone and a lot of what I don't like is my personal preference. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for your video. I want to track my child at daycare to ensure she doesn't leave the building. Would these work? I have a Samsung Galaxy S22. I am desperate for an air tag equivalent but for Android devices.
Hi there and thanks for your question and for watching! These would be a great option for you since you have an S22, I personally don't own any Apple products so I can't directly compare but by what I have researched these are going to be as close to an Apple equivalent that's available right now. The SmartTag2 is a fantastic tracker in my opinion. Thanks again!
Chipolo are very clear with naming. It states on the packet what it works with clearly. If I drop my key in the rain it is splash proof. I don't drop my keys in a lake as they are in a safe pocket so they don't fall into the lake. I have chipolo one. Works great and has the call phone functionality. With an android phone I will get the one point asap.
Hi and thanks for your comment. Well I suppose the naming is subjective, I personally find it a little confusing that they have a Chipolo One and a Chipolo One Point. The Chipolo One does not work on the Goggle FMD network. And feature for feature it doesn't compare to the other's in my opinion. All of the other trackers are at least IP65 rated which gives you better water and dust protection, so I feel that the Chipolo device is more suspectable to damage. Also, I apologize for not mentioning that they did add a feature where you can log into a web app on a computer and track your phone but my point was that there's no way to track/find your phone with the device itself, like the others. If you don't have access to a computer you can't track your phone. However this is why there are many different devices because different things are important to different people, as I said it's my opinion that feature for feature and the fact that they cost the same, the other devices offer a better value for your money. I'm glad you find the Chipolo ONE Point useful, thanks again for your comment!
How does it work if you have multiple sensors? Still select 1 over the main thermostat?
Hi there and thanks for your question! Yes you would have to choose which sensor you want the thermostat to use for temperature regulation. In my case I have one for the upstairs Nest thermostat and one for the downstairs thermostat. Of course you can have multiple sensors to be able to know the temperature of specific areas of the house, you don't have to use them to adjust the thermostat. They work great! Thanks again for your comment!
11:45 - The Moto Tag was easy to pair, though. You pulled it out and the phone showed the device. I actually haven't noticed much difference between the Moto Tag and the Samsung where I live. Apple Airtags still beat both when it comes to tracking and coverage, of course, but if you are on a non-Samsung smartphone, the Moto Tags work just fine. I honestly don't get most of your criticism of this device. The problems you complained about in the first half were mostly user error. I use two of these in my trucks and they work okay for my needs. I can't wait for Google to add UWB support but I don't have high hopes for their timeline.
Hi and thanks for watching and your comment. My biggest complaint was that the Camera function is non-existent and I had read several articles stating that it was a feature. Other than that most of the others, as I mentioned are personal preferences. I 100% forgot to go into the Moto app and enable the reverse find your phone feature, so you are correct that was user error lol. The odd thing about the pairing is that you're supposed to be able to pair it with the app first but that's not what happened. My phone discovered it via Google FMD only after I closed the Moto app. Then when I went into the Moto app again it was there. It's not really a complaint just a odd quirk, which I also saw where others had a similar experiences. I think that the Moto Tag is probably going to be the best non Samsung Android tracker that's going to be available right now, and like you, I'm hoping but not holding my breath that Google will get it together lol. Would be nice if they did, I'd sure like to test the Moto UWB on the Google FMD network. I don't have any Apple products so I can't comment on the Air Tag other than the experiences I see others have, which is always very positive. I can say out of all the ones I've tested so far the SmartTag2 has been the best by far. Thanks again for your comment!
The Samsung Smart Tag 2 is a great product, but I encountered a problem when changing the battery for the second time. It was not easy to replace the battery.
Hi there and thank you for your comment and for watching! Yeah I have not had to replace a battery yet so I do not know if it's going to be difficult or not. Why was the second time more difficult do you think?

Hi there and thanks for watching and commenting! The Fantasy 3 was abysmal, at least my experience. Correct bottom light: Hue Play Gradient Tube (Large / Small). This is from Hue. Mount it behind your TV. All the zones will match perfectly. These 2 tubes were made specifically to be the bottom.
Hi there and thanks for watching and commenting. I did look into those but I am not sure I would get the effect I want since it is sitting on a table with stuff around the bottom. I still might consider getting one and testing it out. If it were on the wall I would definitely buy them! I use a gradient light strip and 4 play bars on my living room TV and it's awesome!
@@GadgetguyzGadgets Right on. I also can’t believe that no one is talking about this App! You would think that if you owned a Samsung TV and had a Hue lightstrip, that this App would be a godsend. Oh, by the way, you don’t have to open the App every time you want to change the settings. You can just use your voice remote while you watch TV, and you can change almost any setting. Peace, Ryan.
Oh snap, I didn't realize that about the remote, that's awesome! Thanks for the info! And yeah it's a little mind boggling honestly because it works so well. As a matter of fact I've been having issues recently with my syncbox on my living room tv and wish it supported the app, I'd just throw it in the garbage lol.
ua-cam.com/video/TNbjR8_NKpI/v-deo.htmlsi=e1RJa_NkwteWM3e6
Excellent!
It's not a GPS tracker.
I bought it for the camera remote feature and it does not have it
Hi there and thanks for your comment and for watching. Yeah I was pretty bummed as well when I realized that it didn't have that capability as I had read it did.
batteries in checked in luggage are not allowed, right?
Hello and thanks for your comment. The battery restriction for checked luggage relates to batteries over 100 watt hour and according to the TSA website "Spare (uninstalled) lithium ion and lithium metal batteries, including power banks and cell phone battery charging cases, must be carried in carry-on baggage only." Which the trackers do not fall under those specifications. It's totally fine to have these types of devices in your luggage.
It can use airtag holders, and how it works was in the booklet you didn't need to read.
I have seen where some Air tag holders work well with the Moto Tag, unfortunately I am not an Apple user and don't have any so I'd have to buy a holder. And yes you are correct lol. I would have found the feature faster had a read the booklet lol. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Howdy and thanks for the video. I wish i had of seen your video before I purchased the pebblebee. I have used your link to buy a Samsung Smart Tag 2 from Amazon. I'm planning a trip to the UAE Dubai next year. I want be able to keep track of my suitcase while on the plane, and in the airport. I'll be buying a second smart tag 2 and that one will go on my carry-on bag. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy phone and I really do like it. Thanks again for the info. you've shared with us.
Wow thank you so much for the kind words and your support, it means a lot! I'm glad you found it helpful and you can't go wrong with the Samsung SmartTag since you have a Samsung Galaxy phone, it's by far the best tracker in my opinion! Safe travels and have fun on your trip! Thanks again for watching and commenting!
@@GadgetguyzGadgets Your welcome... when I purchase the second smart tag 2 I'll use your link from here again. I have to that I wish the smart tag 2 used the mapping system that the pebblebee uses. I like how you can actually see a photo of the house that the pebblebee is in, and you can get directions. That's a real neat feature. The smarttag2 shows a good map as well, but it doesn't show an actual photo of the building, only shaded blocks. Never the less, I like both trackers but will still be purchasing another smarttag2. It's a learning curve for sure 😊 if you should come up with any tips or tricks, please share with us. Thanks and safe travels to you and yours, enjoy the trip.
Thanks again for your support! I do understand what you are saying about the mapping, Samsung basically just uses Google Maps, it would be nice to be able to change the view like Maps allows on it's own but Google Maps is going to have the more accurate map in my opinion. I don't know if the map is any different when you put the SmartTag2 in lost mode or not, I haven't used lost mode. Also, as far as getting directions, on the StartTag2 when you are in the Find app on your Samsung you can click the 3 dots on the card at the bottom of the map and then there is an option to Navigate. That will give you navigation assistance to go to your tracker. It doesn't work when you are in the same location as the tracker because then you would use the Search nearby function. Safe travels to you as well!
Just ordered mine. I have a separate Chamberlain keypad and what i like about the camera is that it is wired so no battery to worry about. It is mounted up high out of reach.
Hi there, thanks for watching and commenting. That's awesome and I know you will love it. I really like this camera and it will be my go to camera if/when I need another exterior camera. I have a Nest camera that has been giving me trouble and it might be next to replace with one of these.
I need to install that camera in front of my garage. I wish it had a different wired connection. I need to run the wire through the brick wall.
Yeah that could be a little tough, you'd have to drill a decent size hole to get the end through then you could use some caulking to seal it. The plug that goes into the power brick is a standard USB A size connector for size reference. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@GadgetguyzGadgets I'm replacing it with a current camera that has a power cord, and I drilled a hole through the brick. It was easy to cut and splice the wire. I'll figure something out Ty
@@iglopez63D Gotcha, thanks for the update and hope it all works out. Thanks again!
Got this Motorola since it was cheaper then the pebble bees that I own (in the EU)
That's excellent. I think the Moto Tag is a better device as well than the Pebblebee so great choice! Thanks for your comment and for watching!
@@GadgetguyzGadgets going to use it on my 2018 Ioniq ev I just bought to give me some peace of mind since it has no app.
Thanks, I owned samsung tags and was about to pull the trigger on a moto tag to take advantage of the compatibility with apple tags. That was until i saw your video pop up.
Yeah I was very disappointed that they don't have it enabled. For me personally that was one of the reasons I wanted it was because it had UWB. I was hoping it would be more on par with the Samsung SmartTag 2, which is awesome BTW. I actually bought it to use not just test, I was definitely a little annoyed that they don't have the integration enabled. I'm hoping they enable it soon so I can see the difference, I'll be making a follow up video when they do so stay tuned! Thanks for your comment and for watching!
Were you using a Google Pixel device with the Pebblebee? I suspect that although not as good as the others, any Google Find My Device will work better with a Pixel device.
I was not, I have a Samsung S23 Ultra but you could be correct. It's very possible that the network performs better on a Pixel. I have a buddy who has one, I should have him test it. Thanks for your comment and for watching!
8 weeks between charges is terrible!!
Definitely not the best performance by any stretch. However the extra battery makes it a non issue for me. Literally takes a minute to swap. They definitely need to improve the battery life and offer an option for hardwiring it so you don't need the battery. I love the functionality of the device.
@@GadgetguyzGadgets I am thinking of hardwire fix, if you can provide some technical advise on how to do this that would be a great video, thank you
@eziodeldegan414 I wish I could help you on that one but I do not have mine hardwired. I know I've seen where other people have used like a Samsung phone charger and somehow created a connection using a USB cable but I'm not sure of the process.
I found this in a comment on one of my other videos, maybe it will help you. You can hardwire a Samsung phone charger cut the cable and wire to pins 1 and 4 with the + and - in the right pins. With the battery removed. ua-cam.com/video/Q59h5dacpWs/v-deo.htmlsi=0LNRz4HpyTSBhZTb
@@GadgetguyzGadgets ok thank you I will check it out!
Worst review ever. Just stay away from a camera
Excellent and thorough instructions. Great job!
Thank you so much for watching and the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I use the Shield, no problems yet, and I have considered updating to a newer device but no one else has AI upscaling like the Shield and I stream a lot of 720p and 1080p content, so it's important to me - sticking with my Shield for now
Hi and thanks for your comment. Glad you haven't had any issues! Me and my buddy, who also has a Shield Pro, have had the same issues. So far this Google TV Streamer has been excellent!

I there and thanks for your comment. You sound like you've experienced that before with this TV. All of my Samsung TV's have been issue free so I hope this one is too.

Hi there and thanks for your comment. The only thing I really talked bad about the Tag was about Google not implementing UWB capabilities. I think the Tag with the UWB capabilities active on the FMD network could be a great device. As far as the Chipolo, regardless of how well it tracks, it's lacking some of the features the other devices have for the same cost. In my personal opinion that's already a loss for Chipolo. I'd rather spend my thirty bucks on a device that tracks the same but has better features, like IP67 dust and waterproof ratings. In my opinion the Chipolo isn't worth the cost compared to the other's.
Can't you talk about it? Which one should I get, if I don't own a Galaxy or iPhone?
Hi and thanks for watching and your comment. I have not had a chance yet to thoroughly test the Moto Tag and Chipolo tracker. I'll be putting them through a real world test in about 3 weeks when I go on vacation. However just based off the initial pairing and features, and the fact that the Moto Tag has UWB, even though it's not enabled yet on Google's Find My Device network, that it would be the better device. I'll be posting an updated review after I test them all so definitely hit that Bell 🔔 icon to get notified when that comes out. Thanks again.
Well it is standardised... The name wifi 7 did not come out of thin air. Also it is not just about speed improvements.
Hi there and thanks for your comment and for watching. At the time I publish this video, March 2024, they had just released the certification program in January 2024, "On 8 January 2024, the Wi-Fi Alliance introduced its Wi-Fi Certified 7 program to certify Wi-Fi 7 devices. While final ratification is not expected until the end of 2024, the technical requirements are essentially complete, and as of February 2024 there are already products labeled as Wi‑Fi 7." While the core of the technology is complete there are still things that can change before final ratification, which is what I was referring to. Should have been more clear. Also, I do understand that it's about more than speed but that's what most average buyers are going to look at. Most consumers don't care about the technical details they just want it to be fast. Thanks again for your comment and I'll be sure to be more clear on stuff like this in the future. I plan on buying a Wi-Fi 7 system early next year.
@@GadgetguyzGadgets you're not fooling anyone with the AI response...
@solverz4078 hahaha I don't use any AI or auto reply bots to reply to my comments. It's all me, I don't need AI to tell me how to reply or do it for me lol.
Do you know what review means?! That was a brief demonstration
Haha, while definitely not one of my better videos it was literally one of my first and still figuring things out. But thanks for your comment all the same.
I also have had problems with the shield. My main go to devices now are the google streamer 4k and the 128gb apple tv unit. Both of which are buttery smooth.
The new Google 4K Streamer has been excellent!
Damn thanks. I was about to buy it. This is my problem with Google.. everything they implement is always shotty. I literally only got access to the network yesterday because I i have a pixel that was just updated to andriod 15.... Which means its highly unlikely that most of the people around me have access to the network to help me find anything... And why dont the tags have uwb? Why's that so hard to do? Also, you mentioend the moto tag. There are ppl saying yhat the UWB stuff isnt enabled in the Network yet so youll be essentially buying aother pebble Bee.
Hey there and thanks for your comment. Yeah I totally agree, sometimes Google does it right and then there's things like these trackers that are so poorly implemented. You are correct in that Google has not enabled the UWB capabilities for the Moto Tag yet. Supposedly it's going to be working by end of the year but who really knows. I do like the Moto Tag and I've made a couple videos about it. I'll be testing it next month when I go on vacation with my family so keep an eye out for that video. I suspect that the Moto Tag will be at the top of the tracker list for Android, that's not a Samsung, once UWB is working. But right now Samsung's SmartTag2 blows anything Google has out. I'd say the Pebblebee is your best bet currently. Don't even bother with the Chipolo Find My Device capable device, the Chipolo ONE Point. It's not a very good device in my opinion. I have a video on that too with my initial thoughts. I'll be testing it as well next month.
