damn son that is some mighty fine work you got going on there brother😎🤑💪 How did you achieve that bottom lip at the end of the cantilevered drywall? did you just chamfer the back of the board with a router and glue it to 90° ?? And is that some super wide bullnose or is it just the camera. How did you achieve that round inside angle below the skylight??? At the start of the video I built a similar box like this for a projector screen to be recessed😎👍🇨🇦🇨🇦
Thanks! The bottom, overhung the board and used archway bead, the biggest bull nose from trimtex at the top, tile mesh to create curves in the uprights and plaster

@DCtaping if neck something like a pool noodle and waist weaved belt. A bit stretchy and if it gets muddy not searching for the holes like a regular belt

Best is to put papertape about 5" from the corner first and wipe it, you're right. This was just a day showing someone how to install 3way. It can be installed onto a painted, cracked out badly shaped corner too

Sheetrock was my dad's job as we grew up. Dad's now on his sixth back surgery. Sure hope he thinks jobs like this was smart. After all his pain I hope people learn to move onto something else before it's to late for them.

Mixing up some taping mud with a little bit of 90 min quickset. Nice and thin by look of it, for running machines
Getting really close. Do you run hardeners like 90 45 20 in a pump or box? I heard it can be a real pain to clean out. I guess if you get it all out quickly enough you're alright. Great handle BTW 🤣
@3WAY Drywall Corner Finishing Never in a pump, but I have a cheap 8" box made of plastic that's actually designed for hot muds. You can either clean it well it's wet, or wait for it to set and tap it a few times with you're knife handle and it falls right out. Doesn't leave a great finish mind you, I only run in on 1st coats

@3WAY Drywall Corner Finishing Kind of, I usually run a pass up either side of the tape on the butts on my tape coat (without going over the tape) this ensures everything dries evenly. Then on 2nd coat, I run a pass over the middle to fill in the gap using classic finish compund. Then on final coat, I skim it out with with a 32" skim blade and classic finish compound again

A broken drywall, inside corner patch

That painted corner was cracked and uneven, the 3Way was mudded onto the painted walls to have sharp, crispy angles!
