MIELE CX1 BLIZZARD VACUUM REVIEW UPDATE (3 MONTHS LATER) - Some Issues!
Переглядів 85 тис.5 років тому
I've had my Miele CX1 Blizzard Cat & Dog Vacuum Cleaner for just over 3 months now... It sucks! As in, it gives really good suction and has good power... HOWEVER there are a couple of little issues I have had with it that are causing headaches. Mainly, the clip release function. Hopefully it can be fixed. Hopefully it isn't something that occurs across ALL of the CX1 blizzard bagless range.
I BOUGHT A LAPEL MIC! ARE THEY WORTH IT!?? (RØDE SmartLav+ Product Test)
Переглядів 2995 років тому
I finally bought myself a Lapel Mic! (Lavalier Mic) (A small clip on mic that sits near the chest). I got the RØDE SmartLav Microphone for $77 AUD at my local electronics store. This SHOULD help me with outdoor recordings, as well as minimising background noise.. Time to test it out and see if was worth it... Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

The actual HEPA filter is moulded into the plastic motor cover. Nup you can’t replace that unless you have $280 sitting around to buy the part! My vacuum started to smell (after 4yrs of use). I had no idea why?? I soaked all the components in vinegar to try to stop the smell, only to realise the main filter is inside the machine. In frustration I sucked up some glen 20! I even pulled off the side panel to reveal the back of the HEPA filter (you can see how it’s glued in when you do that!) and gave that a dose of glen 20. While I can’t remove it, at least now it don’t stink. What a stupid design, I really do expect more out of Miele! So I’d be really careful making sure your machine is emptied every time you use it, just to make sure you remove as much dust as you can so it don’t get sucked through onto the permanent filter. I’ll probs buy the part to replace the current filter and fit it myself in a year or so and have it on hand to change once this one starts smelling again. Hope this helps !

Sorry if you got this, I loved ours but read my post. The bloody Hepa filter is stuck in the machine above the motor. It’s a bad design, just make sure you empty it regularly and you’ll get a good run out of it.

I would never buy a Miele vacuum again ! The only vacuum that gets 'upset' when you ask it to pick up some dust !!!!! Red lights, Amber Lights, switches it's self off, and the filters OMG what a faff ! The 'retractable' brush on the end of the hose does not lock into position , resulting in the end of the hose scratching the floor or surface you are trying to clean.( before the "red light, amber light ........kicks in.) Now, Mr Dyson sir ......

Same. Brick dust bricked mine early on, so I looked for a replacement main filter - but you can't buy them! I washed the main filter out, per the manual, but it's naff, overheats on 4th notch ever since. Would not buy again.

I have just purchased the 36V Line Trimmer and after about 3-5 minutes of running it just stops. I've changed battery and it started again and then after 3-5 minutes it stopped. From other UA-cam and research apparently the electic motor controller over heats and needs to cool down. What a scam. Pay over $300 bucks for a piece of equipment that is known to be faulty out of the box. Does anyone else have this issue?

I’ve got one of these a the catcher is frustrating, the best I can get into it is 3 or 4 handfuls of clippings and then it just started building up tunnel and around the blade. Anybody got a fix for this?

I bought one & used it 1st time today 1) The cable to switch on handle is just loose and if it gets caught on anything will just rip out. Poor design. I cable-tied it in 2 places to handle. 2) Mower base is wider than front wheels so base hits things not the front wheels. Might damage base. Poor design. Other than that was powerful enough. It's a pain not being able to wash it with hose like petrol mower.

Love your video. I can’t find any video love your video. There’s a triangular filter inside the main canister that is filled with dirt, and I can’t figure out how to release it to clean it. I’d love to see how you get it out. Thanks.

What is the results on Hard floor , Tiles , Timber etc using the standard floor tool. Was a little disappointed you didn't demonstrate this . Does the turbo head allow fairly easy access to remove the brush bar to get serious tangle s cleaned away ? I was looking at replacing my old Dyson DC17 with a new Dyson Animal Big Ball but have read heaps of dissatisfied reviews on them. The Miele looks solid and very powerful in comparison. We have s Ragdoll Cat who leaves plenty of fur around on our carpets and hard surfaces so looking at a better option.

Anyone buying Ryobi tools, make sure to register your products. I had the same model, it suited me, light weight (30-35kg petrol mower VS 18kg) and happy with the cut. The catcher design is not the best, only able to fill half full. But I normally just used the mulching plug. Owned for a good 3 years before suddenly it died, battery was fine. Now this is where registering your products are crucial. I took it to Bunnings and Ryobi have replacement warranty, not repair, so I was going to get a replacement but unfortunately the stock they have are the 4ah kits cause they no longer have the 5ah kits which is why they're $100 cheaper. But 4ah is not good enough for me cause I also need to use the battery for the trimmer. They offered me the new 6ah kit but it's $100 more than the 5ah kit but that's not the issue. I found out it weighs 22.5kg without a battery or batteries (it's able to run on two batteries) which is not ideal for my situation. Well, Bunnings gave the voucher to the value of the old model. Salute Bunnings.

Spent almost $800 on this piece of garbage a few years back and I have to remove the hair every single time after vaccuming, even though I don't have any pets at home. Best part is that I got lazy and didn't clean it for a few times and all the plastic joints got melted! ⚠️⚠️ If you are considering to get one of these vaccume cleaners from Miele, please think twice. ⚠️⚠️

From a disabled point of view I’ve been wanting one for a yr . I can’t get a lawn mower guy regularly. I have beautiful buffalo lawn and I am fussy about it . Because it’s battery operated I reckon I could use it easily . Thanks for an Aussie review xoxo

  • @andthen0170

I’ve had one of these for 9 years. Still going strong. Never serviced it. Problem is I need 2 full batteries or more to complete my lawn. I have thick spongy grass. I need to mow on max height and empty the catcher 10 times minimum. It struggles in the thick stuff in summer if I miss a weekend and it stalls a lot. I need to do 2 passes with it tilted which is dangerous. Honestly it is excellent and I have used it for nearly 10 years along with blower and line trimmer. All going strong. I just want more power for my thick spongy lawn, but probably doesn’t apply to most people.
