Good names, like the discussion. Lots of junior boks at centre to keep an eye on. Katlego Letebele (Joined 7’s circuit now, but in the mixer at 13 for the future). Ethan Hooker as well. U/20 Sharks captain, had a monster tournament in JWC and at 1.9m he needs about 5-10 more kg’s and he’ll be a beast. Lots of talent all around the park coming up. Going to have to balance bleeding new talent and giving the legends of the last 5 year cycles their well earned farewell tours - That’s the biggest headache in my opinion. Some players who you didn’t mention (IIRC): Fassi has fallen out of favour but can see him getting amongst the team again in the next cycle, as well as David Kriel whose been a monster at the Bulls this season. Mchunu at loosehead on current trajectory will be a much better player in a year or two and won’t be surprised to see him in squads of the future.

Two things that really hurt Cape Town 7s imo 1. Expansion from 2 days to 3 2. Taking away the ability to come and go as you wish. I understand why they did it, I really do, but I remember how fun the 1st 2 experiences was for me personally. 1st time we came in, watched the 1st blitzbok game, went out to V&A for a bit and came back 2 hours later for the next bok match. The next year we went to a bar followed by lunch at Rocco's before going back for the bok game. Doing things around the stadium while enjoying the 7s was part of the experience

In your face defense and quick pace attack... Pretty much all of the test players already played, except maybe Biggar I think rassie is the only one who's been happy with the first 2 games since the lions got absolutely nothing out of this. The sigma lions and sharks did surprisingly well (ish) in the scrums especially, that should be a concern for them I think.
