Okay. If I were to go back I do not think I would have posted my comment. I still believe it is ridiculous to stick a famous political figure to the sing and mangle and stretch the possible interpretations of the song to match that figure's life in some way. But, I do not understand now why I wrote my thoughts like a tirade. Thank you for the facts on the band.
I forget to mention this. He takes disjointed elements from many ideas in his songs (at times) and uses them convey meaning through the emotional subtext of his words and sounds. Oskar Schindler, Joseph Stalin, and all else do not make sense when analyzing who he is talking about in the song because what he is talking about is fictional imagery that evokes ideas and memories from real life and ideas and images found in real life that happen or have happened or tend to happen.
Why in the world would this be about Joseph Stalin? The band is from Australia and none of their songs are even vaguely political in any sense in which they name specific proper elements or events in the political world or history. You're far off in much of life if you think you do not need evidence or specific supports that serve as some kinds of proof for when you believe or make conclusions about things. Believing without thought or consideration is what children practice. Not mature
