Fixed my opera lights with the 12 to 100 W converter box that’s located in the trunk.
Noted we couldn’t find the box in my cousins 1992

Not really sure, its been a while since I did it. I had ordered it thru the local chevrolet dealer back then. I do know that their is a difference between the regular yukon and hybrid yukon third brake light, they aren't the same and the hybrid one costs more. I'm sure you can find some online thru a third party website but just gotta make sure its for the hybrid model.

thanks mate yeah I found that brush too big. Even a toothbrush won't get everywhere.

Yea, When I had my yukon i never found a vid for it, so decided to make on to help somebody out. Yea probably was different because mine was a hybrid. I liked it but had to get rid of it, not really a fan of the hybrid.

None of my 4 lights work. Do you know when the lights are supposed to come on? Doors open only or with the headlights? Thanks, Dave.
From my knowledge I believe the lights only come on when your headlights are turned on. But I am not sure if yours would be different or not.

@@wacoflipp2458 I have a 1989 Brougham as well, but mine is a 21 foot long Hearse. I have NO idea where the coach builder might have hidden the inverter. It has been so very HOT here in South Carolina to even think about crawling around in the back of the Hearse till it gets cooler.
@@davewilliams1097 Yea I hear ya, its hot out here in texas too. If I would take a guess I would say they hid it somewhere behind those side panels in there towards the back end. But that's just my guess. Good luck on that!.

It’s a guy wit a box Chevy put LEDs in his Opera Lights and it came out CLEAN!
Yeah, I've seen a couple people go with Led's, as another option, some look good and some kinda tacky, me personally I really want to go with a more original look, but if i can't find a way , I will go with a certain Led.
I'm a visual learner and this video was excellent. Thank you for doing it! I am curious, were you able to get a new inverter and new EL tape for your lights? It would be awesome if you posted a video on getting that to work. I'd like to tackle this for my '88 Brougham.

Hey man, i drive a 87 Brougham. Did your inverter works? Im struggeling with the same problem.
Yes, the inverter had power to it and from it to the actual lights. One of the lights had the clear plastic cover missing from it thats why i think they were not working, im trying to find other ways to go about it. Will post a video, once i find a good alternate way.

@@karlgrill4665 The inverter is usually in the trunk on the left hand side behind the carpet, its a small black box with connectors to it, get a voltage meter and check the wires to see if you have power going through the wires. To and from the inverter.
@@wacoflipp2458I had the inverter in my hands already. There is 1 plug with only 1 grey wire,thats the one from the taillights right? So i guess i have to turn the headlights on to and check then the wires right?
@@karlgrill4665 yes correct, turn your headlights on then check to see if you have power running through the wires.
