To understand the familiar beauty of Christ Jesus culture and faith shared which he is the centered Alpha and Omega of is what I want . Jesus and his followers were observant Jews. The history customs and traditions were followed in the gospels until he died on the Cross. Legally and biblically, Jesus of Nazareth is old testament. The risen Christ is new testament. The death of jesus made the mosaic covenant null and viod. The husband died and the wife had been set free. Upon resurrection , the new covenant and the new high priest married the new wife. Thats the whole point, israel the adulterous woman was sinful and should have been stoned to death but God give up his life for her. All signs symbols and rituals pointed to Christ. The old covenant was a temporary placeholder for rhe people while they were in the land without their Messiah. The catholic church rituals point backwards as a reminder but they do not save . Jesus fulfilled the Hebrew religion. "It is finished".
